A SAFE/JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE TO LEARN THE GAME AND BECOME PART OF A LARGER STORY BY CREATING IT WITH OTHERS
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Fantasy Grounds) Experience: Any - but a preference for newer players Location/Timezone: All sessions run on EST Schedule: 1-2 Sessions Offered A Week. Mostly Weekend Afternoons but occasional weekdays. Roles sought: Looking for 5-7 players. Game style: The campaign and sessions use the official D&D source material but the narrative and flow of the game is directed by the players (this a collaborative experience). It might be best described as a sandbox game with facilitated direction by the DM.
The "Critical" piece of information you need to know:
1.) No investment or purchases required. You only need time,your imagination, and an internet connection. All source material has been purchased and will be provided here in D&D Beyond and other programs to all players involved. You will be provided access to all D&D Officially Licenced Material, Fantasy Grounds is our software of choice but again has been purchased and provided by the DM. Discord will be required and free Obsidian Portal account (for scheduling and RSVP). We also have a FaceBook Page for the group, but is completely voluntary. If you join, we will send you a welcome kit with all necessary links, instructions, and information including a backstory kit to help me best fit your character's unique story into the bigger world. We have Syrinscape plugged into the campaigns so you will even get awesome sound effects as you cast spells and swing swords.
2) We are a respectful, judgement free zone. Inclusivity is valued.
3) The group varies in age range but we do ask that you be 18+ (this doesn't mean we run dark narratives, we just want to be mindful of parents consent of their children playing.)
4) Everyone will get a zero session scheduled after joining to help develop your character and give you a walk through of the software (no experience needed).
5) Quick DM BIO: I have been DM'ing tabletop roleplaying games, D&D franchise particularly, for over 30+ years. I am a firm believer in welcoming anyone with an interest to the hobby and taking our time to learn and enjoy the game and help you create fantastic stories with your fellow players.

I used to play back in the 70's. I'm retired now so time and dates not much of an issue. hit me up if you think you could use me.

Hello, I am Simdrome and I have been playing Dnd off and on for two years now. I currently DM for a group on Saturdays at 3pm est to 7pm est. I really enjoy the world building and creation aspects of the campaign, but feel that my delivery and actual DMing is quite lacking as I am inexperienced. This coupled with the Itch to be in the player seat again has caused me to reach out! I think that being part of a group with a experienced DM can really help me learn and grow as both a player and DM. As a player, I really enjoy getting into RP and having grounded worlds that really help me get immersed. I find this really helps bring out the creativity in myself if I can turn the Immersion notch up as high as possible.

FaizFlamecaster I think it is fantastic you are interested in the hobby and I highly encourage you to find a table that suits your needs a bit better than we can. I would recommend having your guardians check it out with you - I have run games where mom's have brought their sons and daughters to play with them - that is the kind of group you want to join. And Wizards of The Coast actually just published a Young Adult Version of the game I would encourage you to check out on their Website. It is not as rules crunchy as the normal game and is an awesome way to get started - and if you can't find a table - you can start one with your friends on social media. I'm sorry we can't provide what you need but don't let it stop you from checking it out and having fun - just make sure to check with your legal guardians first.
I’d love the chance to play in a campaign I’ve got 4 years experience with 3.5e new to 5e but already know I wanna play a flashy social halfling arcane trickster the way I have him in my mind I feel like he will be fun for me and the party.
I’m super interested, I live in the us central time zone, I’ve never played as a player, my first experience was a homebrew I made as a dm, and three friends played the pcs. I have been into dnd since I was young, but the environment I grew up in didn’t let me play. If there is still room let me know, if not keep me in consideration for next time!

Its actually quite difficault to find a stable dnd group here where i am located and truly wish to get into a new game.
