Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online. Discord for voice, Roll20 for maps as needed. Experience: Looking for semi-experienced players, ~6+ months Location/Timezone: EST. Yours can be any if you can reliably make the timeslot. Schedule: 1-6pm EST everySaturday. Might be 1-2 weeks from now before a new player can be incorporated. Roles sought: 1-2 players who are willing to fill very specific roles needed. Game style: RP-focused with combat where appropriate. Semi-serious; plenty of fun and jokes, but you need to be able to be serious where appropriate.
I'm Stranger (she/her/any), and I've been DMing for over 1 year now. This is the first game I have DMed and we're nearly 60 sessions in. That means you'll be joining an existing campaign that's a year in, and I plan for the game to go for about 6 more months. I'm looking for someone who can commit to every Saturday (sans emergencies/special exceptions) for that duration. If you can't commit, please don't apply, as we've already suffered a few members having to leave suddenly due to scheduling.
We are a group of 18+ LGBTQIA+ individuals looking for the same. (Legit, the IC group name is "The Queeries" and yes that's an IT joke too.) Very specifically, we're looking for someone who doesn't mind joining a pre-established group and integrating with us, both in-character and out-of-character. We need 1-2 people who are happy to dive into a fully homebrew universe/campaign and don't mind being a bit confused at first while they're introduced to everything, and are willing to fill needed roles with some pre-established background. This is intended to make it easier to integrate into the PC group IC as well as establish the character quickly.
Restrictions: No Warforged, Vedalkin, Tortle, Simic Hybrids, Locathah, monstrous races. No artificer, gunslinger, cavalier. Open to some HB, run it by me.
Characters have recently hit level 14, milestone. Some of the basic character skeletons that are offered are as follows:
A) Druid associated with a clan the Queeries have had dealings with. Probably Circle of Spores but open to others if they didn't grow up with Clan Vidhara. Has met the group in passing, knows that the group saved a number of lizardfolk when the nearby hidden village of Krdsh was lit aflame mysteriously 5 years ago - and since then many lizardfolk have settled into the clan village of Falorian Hallow, in Starleaf Vale. Is searching out the Queeries for specific reasons to be determined. Some healing focus appreciated.
B) A member of the mercenary group the Thunder Growlers, who operate throughout the Gloomfens region in the countries Eravox and Esperia. Has recently heard about the Queeries and actively wants to learn more about them for your own reasons. Is currently on a job. Rogue preferable, but open to others.
C) A Cleric or Paladin of the Order of Japu, a religious organization from the country of Cazara who worship the Cazaran gods, but especially Lymnos, the Lawbringer. Is actively searching for The Queeries, for Reasons. Will stick with the group instead, for Reasons. Will discuss if interested.
D) A supporter and former friend of a recurring NPC who I won't mention here in case my players read this. They can be any class or race allowed but have some very specific ties that are required, including political. (Not a political campaign.)
E) A former friend of a different recurring NPC. Rogue most likely. Has recently heard a lot about the Queeries and is maybe a bit of a fanperson and excited to meet them. Could potentially also be a former merc.
F) A Magister from the world's leading magic college, the Magisterium. Wizard or Sorcerer only. Has heard a lot about the Queeries from peers and has recently settled into New Arafea as part of a study group, but is searching out The Queeries as part of their current thesis.
G) A warlock with a unique patron who has wandered the world for a long time searching for any trace of said patron. May require a HB subclass that we'd work on together.
H) Depending on how flexible you are, your own character may or may not fit in my lore but I'm not closed to trying other ideas. Alternatively, we can build something together.
To apply, please include your name/alias, preferred pronouns, and which, if any, character skeletons you're interested in with some ideas of your own for that character - the more the better - either here or in DMs. Thank you very much for reading everything, and I can't wait to see the applications!
