Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: 5 Years Location/Timezone: Any and All! Schedule: TBD Based on Schedules Roles sought: 3-5 Players Game style: A heavy roleplay world-building game full of three dimensional PCs.
Critical Role. Not Another D&D Podcast. The Adventure Zone. These are the giants whose shoulders we stand upon. In the realm of Dungeons & Dragons, podcasts are made all of the time. Some good, some not. I, however, think that we will fall very, very close to the former. --- Hi there! My name's Marlowe, and I'm a DM currently living in Boston. I've been listening (and watching, depending on the show) a lot of D&D podcasts and have been asking myself, time and time again, "Why not me?" So here I am! I'm looking for great people playing great characters who I can make a memorable, long-term story with. I want to talk to you, get to know you, get to know your character, everything of the sort. I'm currently writing the campaign now, but I want to find the people that will be a part of it not only because your character will play such a massive role in the world, but also because I want to actually know the people I'm playing with before we get into it! 5 is the number. I'm looking for 3-5 charismatic individuals to make and play fully realized, flawed, and fun-to-DM characters for the world that I'm currently building, and I'd love it if you were one of them! A few things to keep in mind:
1. I want all of us to be around the same age, so I'm looking for people 18-25 years of age. If you're in college, you're probably on the right track! 2. Due to the nature of a podcast, you must have a microphone that you can use to record with (lav mic, stand mic, etc.), rather than just your computer's audio or a pair of airpods. Good sound separates the men/women/adults from the boys/girls/children! 3. I want the cast to be diverse, even if your characters are not. So that means all genders and races are invited! 4. Since there's no face for people to look at to differentiate one person from the next, character voices are a must! If you don't think you can make a good one for the character that you decide to play, talk to me and we'll see what we can do! And if it doesn't work out, hey. No harm in trying. 5. Fun individuals only! There's no point in trying to have fun with sticks in the mud. And for all of you quiet introverts out there that I know are reading this with glimmering eyes, fun does not mean loud.
I think this is going to be great. I'll also be advertising on Roll20 and Reddit, so feel free to tell your friends if you feel like they'd be interested! This is an exciting idea that I want to see to fruition, so don't hesitate to be a part of it.
EDIT - Today is the last day of auditions, so apply today for a chance to get in!!
ive got years worth of experience as both a player and Dm for 5e and various other TTRPGS. I’ve also got a couple thousand hours on roll 20 and experience as a voice actor
I’d love to participate. Unfortunately, I’m slightly outside of your age bracket (44). But if you are willing to reconsider, I will definitely give it a go.
I'm 28, but if that's ok with your range I would love to give it a whirl. I'm familiar with 5e rules and have both played and dm'd before. Got some great character ideas running around my brain already. And if you want players with chemistry with I'm sure I could someone on board.
Hey man, I dont reallt have much experience but Im a talented role player, it would only be the actual dnd mechanics since Ive only ever seen podcasts. I have 2 characters at the ready and Im absolutely interesting if you have space! im currently 18 years old.

I am a little outside the age range, at 28 years old, but I would be extremely interested. I have about five years experience, primarily as a DM, and I work at a live news broadcast station so I have more than a little experience with media production. I am open to playing any character archetype, and have loads in the vault from my time as a Forever-DM. I would love to get into this with you -- though I will note that due to the nature of working in news, I operate at strange hours. I live in Central Time, so just an hour behind you, but I work from 2-11PM M-F in my time zone. These are pretty stable hours, only rarely varying; as a result, if this game were on weeknights, I'd prefer to start no sooner than midnight my time (1am eastern). My Saturday evenings are often quite full, too, but Sunday would be free almost any time. My microphone is a Blue Yeti, with a full stand, and I have extensive knowledge of recording/audio software for routing my audio into different sources as needed.
My Discord handle is BIG THUNDER#0420 if you would like to discuss more in-depth!
If you ever decide to up your age limits you should hit me up. (Ok Boomer) I am 38 however I have the finances of a collage student. Real talk- I retired 4 years ago and being so young, not having too work has left me with so much time on my hands that I am going insane. That could make me a asset if your podcast gets hot. Please save me from doing nothing but watching anime, Crit Role, and playing video games....maybe I am a collage student.
A friend linked this to me, and I would definitely be interested.
For a little about me: I'm 24 years old and have been playing D&D for about two years now. Characters are absolutely my bread and butter -- my favorite thing about the game is being able to get into my characters' heads. I love DMs who will work with me on backstory to make sure the character is thematically integrated into the campaign. I'm not sure where I fall in quality of voice actress as I've rarely received feedback of any variety, but I do always try to give my characters voices, so I'll leave the quality judgment to you if it comes to that.
I have a microphone (Blue Snowflake) and will upgrade long before the campaign starts (likely to a Blue Yeti).
I saw this and became very intrigued. I live stream dnd consistently to my YouTube as I DM 4 games running side by side in a homebrewed world. I would love the opportunity to flex my wings as a player. Character and character growth are my jamnado. I also love political intrigue and intense roleplay. I am a non-binary African American so I bring a pretty unique cultural perspective to most tables I sit at. The characters and stories I weave together reflect my interests in storytelling. You can check out the audio on my YouTube channel, but I have a blue Yeti Microphone and put my heart and soul into story telling. (I think my YouTube is linked in my signature, if not just Google Search PresBKennedy or Ilderon Tales).
I would very much like to join, however I am out of the age bracket sitting at 35. If I dont get picked, at least let me know how I can listen to your podcast, i'd be interested in listening in.
I’m not sure if you are still looking for players but I may be interested if schedule provides. I’m 25, and have played on podcasts before. I’ve been kinda down lately because I’ve been having blocks dming and would like to play a fun game with folks. I have a yeti microphone and record on it for animations. Not sure how good I am at voices but I’d be willing to try. I’m 25 years old and have been playing for close to -looks at watch- 6 years now?
