I'll be brief, my title sums it up. I've been doing the d&d thing for a long time. My first character was a dwarf in the very first edition who died charging like an idiot through the caves of chaos. I DMed a lot of 2nd and 3.5, anyone here ever heard of Birthright? I still have all those insane sourcebooks and I ran a Sword of Roele campaign on play by post that lasted a year. Best damn roleplay I've ever seen in my entire stupid life. Don't get me started on Dark Sun either. There are more ridiculously in depth sourcebooks on 2ed Dark Sun than there are history books on half of the countries noone wants to live in, which is more than a few if you get the gist of it.
Anyways, I like to rp and I'm good at it. I'd DM but I'm too old to be that creative and organized or even give a real damn. I might be an ass but I'm the kind of ass you can't help but admire even while you slap it. Did I say I was going to be brief? To hell with it then, put me in your damn group and I'll love you long time.
As an added note, I tend to be more eloquent and elaborate in my character design than I am as a person. Here's an example of a Forgotten Realms character I have run in the past:
Name: Vyzidan Ghoere Race: Human Class: Avenging Paladin of Ilmater Alignment: Good Religion: Impultir
Description: He believes it is his duty to ease the suffering of others, face the evils of the world and be a beacon of hope where only despair resides. His faith rests upon the burden he must bear for others and the sacrifice of all for the greater good. He wraps his hands in cords that create swelling in his knuckles and fingers and bruising along his wrists and forearm. Despite his gracious and pleasant demeanor, you can't help but think this man is a little bit off his freaking gourd.
Background:
If I actually wrote it all out, it would be 20+ pages of material. I played Vyzidan in multiple campaigns and the highest level I got him to was 17 in 4th edition. He died multiple times in 2ed and 3.5 but my DMs were ******** lol! Amazing deaths though, I loved them all.
What's up fellows and fellowettes,
