Trying to find a group to finally play with

I've been interested in the game for a long time and i've run a touch and go campaign for my friends that has been fun but DM is only one side of things, I'd like to experience the game from the other side. I'm a 23 years old male  attending college in new york city, if anyone's interested in starting up a new adventure I'd be honored to be included. Whether through discord, Roll20 or other means. 

I am also looking for a group. been apart of a few but they haven't worked out for one reason or another. if you find someone looking for players wanting a role-play heavy setting I would love to join you
