I have only played D&D a small amount of times with friends, and am looking to join a group of players who know what they are doing to grow my own skills as a player. Interested in doing a few one-shots and possibly joining a larger campaign later on. As well as looking to record/live stream for Twitch and YouTube content.

Am free to play most days and times. Also from Australia, so ideally looking for people in nearby time zones.

 You've said you played with friends before maybe you can convince them to also play online?

I can extend the invitation to them, but they are studying quite a lot and might not be available to do so. In the sessions we've played I DM'ed, but I'm not that good at it. lack of knowledge, too many things to keep track of and quite bad at math without a calculator. Will probably need to advertise for one.

Well you need to choose a race , each race gives different effect to whatever class you have chosen

Class , depends on what you prefer wizard , monks , ranger or a barbarian or even a rouge etc

Really depends on what you like but I choose rouge because of their stealth 

For arcane magic user i'd prefer warlock , when it says for the starter choose equipment over gold

I'll also need to make a character, I have no idea what I want to play as. I have a few ideas but am not sure if they are good starting characters.

try get everyone to be different characters so the games more exciting then , I'll make a discord group now and send it to you

righty-o. If I remember correctly, my friend had a drow wizard he liked to use, so theres that. So we potentially have three players, maybe more, and we need to find a DM. What else do we need?
