I'm a semi new DM looking for 4 to 6 players to run thru Lost Mines of Phandelver or possibly Sunless Citadel. Due to my current life schedule I can only play early mornings during the week most likely 0800 CST once a week Tuesdays and Thursdays alternating. I will most likely being doing voice chat with discord but could use Skype if wanted. If this sounds like a group for you please respond and we will try to get something started.
Awesome I can definitely pick up a campaign around level 2 or 3. I have a few of the team wizard books which will let us do that. If we can just find 2 more hopefully we can get started on the 15th
The days and times might work for me. I work nights and am usually still up until 11am CST. I am open to play just about any race and class. Let me know if you have room in your group and what class you need. If I don't have one made I can generate one pretty quick using D&D Beyond.
If there's still I would really like to join you guys!! I have a Half Orc Paladin or an Air Genasi all ready, but I totally don't mind making something to support the group. I'm a fairly new player to D&D, so please forgive the occasional questions of what things are haha. I am also EST if that's not too much of an issue, I hope.
I'm okay with that. Haven't played that module. Do you have a preference to ability scores, point buy or standard array? What about equipment or do you want to handle these types of things in a session zero.
It would be great to have you join us aslaan. As far a carachter build standard build would be great with normal starting gear plus one rare magical item of your choosing. I would like to review the item to make sure it won't break the game some how. Also if I could have everyone still interested reply to this post with their carachter name and class so we know we will have a group that will work. Please reply by the 8th so I have a week to get things ready
Okay, great! The sooner the better, for me at least. I'm pumped to start haha. I'll get my character ready right away. By the way, will there be a Discord chat or something in the meantime?
I'm conflicted on whether or not the party would need more Bulk or Support. I have both a Bard and a Cleric ready to go, but alternatively a Ranger and a Paladin ready to go. What are you guys' opinions?
First, I think you should play what you want... Second, if there is only three of us plus the DM we should think about playing more than one PC. If the campaign calls for a party of 4-6, without the addition of someone else, we could each play 2 PC's and have a full party. There is still plenty of time for additional people to join the party but I throw that out as an option if we can't find enough players. Unless the DM is receiving private replies to their post I count the party at a Monk, Wizard and whatever you choose to roll.
Aslaan go ahead and pick what ever feels good. Im hoping player is still down to play but he hasn't replied to the feed in awhile so I'm not sure. Either way the minimum of 4 people is not a hard and fast rule and can be overcome by the DM allowing healing surges or playing a carachter themselves. I'm still semi new to DMing so I'm not going to make this campaign super tough with strict rules only because I'm afraid I might kill your carachters from bad DMing instead of just bad playing or just being unlucky. Also I want it to be fun and not an exercise on referencing rules.
Just saw the part of playing 2 PCs that would work to
I'm going to give dnd beyond a shot here is the link ddb.ac/campaigns/join/193893825268534 I'm going to be flexible though if I have to use a different platform I will

Hey there, I'd love to start playing! Although I prefer to start at a bit higher level - 2 or 3 - if possible.
If not then I wish you luck!
Sounds fun!
I'd be down all the time, looking forward to it!

Awesome any class or race will work. Hopefully we can find one person who is interested and we will get started.
I have a Goliath Monk ready. Just need to know what level to change him to.
Level 3 will work. I'm thinking of running the module forge of fury if that's good with everyone.

I haven't quite decided between a druid or a wizard yet. But definitely one of those.
Super excited to start!
(Edit): I decided Gnome transmutation wizard
Maveith Skywatcher: Goliath Monk
rare magic item: Bracers of Defense

Will you be using DnD Beyond Campaigns for visual details or some other program like Roll 20?
