I just really hecking want to play, but I don't have a microphone and my computer isn't great to begin with so Play-by-Post is really the best option I think.
I'm pretty new to dnd so please be patient.
I have a few ideas for characters I could play:
Aerick, half-orc ranger. Also half-elf but that's just flavor, would not affect the half-orc mechanics. Stag mount (can wait on the mount if DM doesn't want to allow it too early). Raised by his exiled elf mother (exiled for having a half-orc child) and his orc father doesn't know he exist; however, Aericks mother gave him a medallion that his father will recognize should Aerick ever run into him. Aerick just wants to explore and adventure; it would be real cool if he ever met his dad, but he hasn't the faintest idea where to look so he's not expecting much in that regard.
Belladonna "Bella" Floraison, young druid teifling girl. Light pink skin with short raspberry hair, tiny horn nubs, and purple eyes. Her grandparents are teifling nobles who greatly disapproves of their daughters decision to run off into the forest after falling in love with a druid and are constantly trying to convince their granddaughter to come be a noble and get raised "properly". Bella often visits her grandparents and receives fancy gifts, like pretty dresses... that Bella promptly ruins by playing in the dirt with all her animal friends. Despite being so young (like, 10 or 12), she's decided to start adventuring. Weather or not her parents are aware/approve of this decision can be discussed. I would like her to have a lion cub companion at the start that she had received from her grandparents but this can also be discussed.
Angel, tiefling Bard. Heavily inspired by Aurelio Voltaire, one of my fave musicians. Purple skin, goth aesthetic, long horns with only the slightest curve to them, plays violin. I don't really have a background or anything for him though.
Adam, human warlock. His entire village was destroyed when he was young, and he proceeded to live on his own in the forest... only there were whispers from a motherly voice. She guided him and taught him, and now he is ready to go out and complete Her mission: Kill literally everything, acquiring power for Her along the way. For She is a jealous, ancient, forgotten god who wants revenge against the other gods, who 'ruined' the pretty little orb that she previously enjoyed simply watching. Also she's a nature goddess, which would affect all his warlock stuff probably... Adams only real influence up to now has been this goddess but maybe interacting with other people might make him decided to renounce her or something, or maybe the goddess herself could be convinced to change her ways, idk, otherwise I see Adams story getting a real tragic end lol
If you don't want me to play any of these, I can come up with something else that you approve of, these are just some ideas I really wanted to try out.
Assuming you're still looking at a Play-by-Post campaign, I'd be keen. I currently DM another group on here, with players who have a... casual... post rate, so something to play myself would be awesome. Open to characters types, but have a couple in the bank already. Just let me know!
I have a better idea in mind, I will post that I can DM a play by post-campaign on the forums and you all can respond there if you want. I will have details on it on the forum thread, however, I will say this now it will be played by posting but everyone will still need to be available on a certain day and time to join the campaign. I had bad GM experiences with play by post that had no organization or schedule involved
Hi FinniusVon. How is all of that going for you? If there's a game master to take up a maybe-group here, would you perhaps be interested in assisting them with that?
Howdy Wendigo - everything here is great! I am always happy to share a role, yet playing is something I am keen to do as well. I am only fairly new to the DM business, but find it fun. I enjoy the setting the scene, but really love the interaction between characters - which is hard to do through Play-by-Post and maintain a good pace - but makes it less about the DM and more about the play! We'll see what happens!
Set times are tricky (Australian times don't really align well with the usual crowd) - I much prefer a commitment of every-other-day... daily when possible.

You had any luck yet?
Is there room for one more?
I just started recently but know the rules back to back.
I usually play a Half-Elf Sorceror.
However I can't do discord.
