We're looking for a regular group, no specifics on setting. Hopefully meeting on Sundays, but weekdays would also work (depending on time, timezone and duration).

We've been playing for about 2 months. Our previous D&D experience includes watching a lot of youtube/twitch channels, reading the manuals, playing a few 2 PC adventures and joining an offline group.

We're looking for an online group because our current group isn't as regular as we'd like, and we joined after they finished a module, so we had to skip 6 levels and would like the experience of leveling up from 1.

I'll be happy join as a third if the games are on Sundays, currently getting into a game and am new to d&d, i have a variant human rogue (eventually a swashbuckler type) that I am looking to insert into a campaign.

I have myself and a friend that would joni as well if you're open to it.  i have a ranger and he has a wizard.  would need to be with noob-friendly players but happy to join if DM available.

As with many other sites that i've tried to use, i feel like there's going to always be a DM shortage.  One of us should just bite the bullet and try to learn lol.

So I am a semi decent DM... and I just got ahold of the Tyranny of Dragons campaign books.

Do you mean play by post or can you clarify what piece by piece means.

I'd personally prefer Skype/hangouts instead of post/text run game.

Sunday is my only day off, so I would love to join a group that meets on Sundays. 

I'm just now looking at all of this and I am thinking about running my own group on here.  

Once I get all the moving parts where they need to be I am going to place a link in here and see what you all think?

I'm coming to the realization that if I want to actually play I'm going to have to DM. 

So if you're willing to learn together (my background and experience are very similar to yours; a lot of theory, little practice) send me a message and we can discuss.

I'm good with all of the above. Sunday are fine, i'm willing to learn as we go, and i have plenty of theory not so much practice.  Patience will be given if it is received lol.

Here's my thinking.

No one was born knowing everything. Time to grow and learn is always a must, even when you're experienced.

So, if we can form a group of relative newbies with time and patience, and a simple campaign in mind (bounty board to clear forests of kobolds, caves of bandits, sewers, and later big hunts) we can all play and learn. Not everything needs to be high political intrigue, destiny filled quests, earth shattering events. Sometimes, the rats in the sewers are nothing more than rats, and all adventurers need to pay the bills.

If we can organize a group, establish a day and time, and have a Session 0 to talk about ideas for characters, campaign, and see if we all like each others faces, we can move forward.
