Hey everyone... I am a relatively inexperienced player looking for a long term, active group. I played a little back in the 3.5 days with some homebrew content; but no games that actually lasted very long. And yeah, im currently on episode 16 of Critical Role; for whatever thats worth i think i get the idea of how to play pretty good.
I am currently in a newbie group that seems to be losing interest maybe right away? I'm not sure. Right now were playing maybe once a week on a flexible basis so any group i join will have to have a time i can set aside from my current group.
The group would have to be online of course; i prefer voice chat over typing... i want a game we can really get immersed in.
So right now im available every day due to covid... once my job reopens (in a month minimum) i will only be available NIGHTS, as i usually get home around 11 est, sometimes as late as 1 est.
Im not opposed to hopping into an already ongoing campaign as long as the group is solid, not TOO overcrowded, and looking to play long term.
I will need a group / dm who is/are patient and willing to walk with me through the learning /comfort curve..
My playstyle right now is a little bit of a combined paasive/active approach, yeah I like to talk in character a bit but i'm not that experienced in improv, so sometimes a simple "He explains in detail, making sure to leave out the bit about the body" will have to do :-/ until i get a little more experience / comfort...
I'm mostly interested in playing a monk, ive given a lot of thought to the kind of character I want to play, but I can be flexible; sorcerer and cleric or paladin are also tempting.
Anyhow, hoping to hear back from someone soon! I got an itch that needs scratching.

Well I can go over bullet points for my campaign in a discord voicechat to see if you'll fit if you'd like.
