Howdy people, 

So I'm running a political intrigue, the campaign is set in my own world and I'm using a pantheon i found. I'll need a backstory from you so i can establish allies and enemies in the world as well as a small plot line or two. Please work with me to make the backstory so i can help to ground everything in the world.

About me: 

I've been DMing for about 4 years, playing since just before 5e released, I'm based in Perth city, this is my first pure home brew campaign but i have run most of the modules before. pretty sure that's all you need to know.

Rumors are spreading through the city like wildfire, people are disappearing and turning up days later dead in the streets with strange plant growths. The city guard is in disarray with the disappearance of the Captain Edmon, the morgues are overflowing and work in the factories is slowly grinding to a holt. Its not safe to go out at night anymore and merchants wont trade in the city for fear of their lives, and the roads are just as dangerous. Fake news and conspiracy is rampart, the kings court is tied up and cant agree on what to do. Rumors of a plague, or maybe just the ramblings of a mad man, no one can be sure what is true and what isn’t anymore.

Experience: New to 5e, Having played Original D&D and AD&D 2e previously
Location/Timezone: Australian (NSW) AEST time zone,
Availability: Available Thursday/Friday from 6pm and any time Saturday/Sunday, I am employed and usually work away from home every second week or so, Mon-Wed nights would be difficult if sessions were ran every week but could accommodate mid week sessions if notice given and other players are flexible.
Preferred role: Player
