A Westmarch-styled D&D game sees no regular party, plot, or schedule. Simply the world, The Vermillion Realm. This playstyle allows a large volume of people to play together at once, and this is my attempt at running a Westmarch. If you can only play once a week, that's fine. If you're only able to play once a month that's fine too. Your character starts at level 1, as a conscript of the Kingdom of Ixali. You and 14 other conscripts are tasked with safeguarding an expedition to a newly discovered continent. Everyone is loaded into the ships with the supplies needed to build a small settlement, and a few NPC's to live in it alongside the conscripts to open markets and pleasantries. While at sea during the voyage, a strange mist enveloped your boat and caused everyone aboard to lose consciousness. Your character alongside the other conscripts, awaken in a small building fashioned into an infirmary and ran by a High Elven woman named Lyra. The town of Anchor Point has been freshly built in your slumber, and you notice others still enthralled in slumber as you make your leave to head to the tavern.
Not everything is how it may seem, within the shadows of this expedition one player will be chosen to be the Villain. The Villain will work with me towards the goal of destroying Anchor Point and it's citizenry. They will aid in the building of dungeons and traps, and parlay in secret with the many beast tribes awaiting you in this new continent. Additionally, another player will be chosen to be the Hero. The Hero works with me towards the betterment and expansion of Anchor Point, designing defenses, determining where resources go and what is advanced and what isn't. If you don't want either role and you are chosen, simply let me know and I'll randomly choose a different player.
I have 4 Player positions still open. I'd be more opt to make more slots should more DM's apply.
