Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: 10 years tabletop Location/Timezone: EST (Central is fine too) Availability: these days, pretty much any time (8 am up to 11 pm) Preferred role: Player Game style: casual, hack'n'slash
Extra info on me: played tabletop for many years, both DM and player. I stopped playing 2 years ago and new to dndbeyond so bear with me : )
I'm reliable and looking the same in return. Got no mic but will type as needed.
I would like to join your campaign. I'm a beginner, so I hope you don't mind, I think I sometimes need some information about things that I don't know how they work.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New to the game Location/Timezone: central Availability: these days, 09:00-12:00 Preferred role: Player Game style: casual.
I have a general question for you to think about. Are the ONLINE games that you are looking for.. though the comment you made does specify a willingness to text chat: PBP (play by post, post during the day and wait for everyone to take their turn) [ might look at Rpol.net ], Text Chat [ all players online at the same time ], Audio Chat, Video chat. [ likely Zoom or discord ]
Are you looking for Story Arc; PC story arc, Party Story Arc, or Region Story Arc, or Sandbox [ PC decision driven ]?
Are you looking for a server that 'strictly schedules play' [ ie will be there a 2 am Saturday; reliability important ] or one 27/7 "real-time" play if not always fully active?
An example of an unscheduled 24/7 Text-chat, with arrangeable audio/video encounters, is Gaia. They have volunteer staff as "@NPC" merchant characters, Single encounter '&*DM's [based on level tier cities] and "@Admin" that moderate and act as PC story arc DM's. They have Players and DMs on from around the world.. though the owner is USA CST. but as volunteer staff [ paid with xp for their characters ] they are only on when they are able.
https://discord.gg/eqWWGeg You can take a look.. read the linked server thread, pinned info, as well as linked threads. If you have.. Sure.. No.. Ask your other questions [ which you will have ] in the Servers public chat.. people are always happy to help.
