The headline says participants rather than players. Here's why...
D&D 5E happens six days a week at http://twitch.tv/rob2e and there is one game played 1 to 3 times a week called Salvage Encounters where anyone can join, even if for only one session. It's an open world game. The reason I say participants is that you can also have an effect from the stream chat while not being a player. Twitch chatters can use their XP (gained by watching the stream) to help or hinder the in-game players with healing potions, advantage, magic items, as well as give them disadvantage or spring traps and monsters.
The idea is to make the game(s) as interactive as possible. Super fun.

Can I Join?
Unfortunately, we no longer do this, but I would suggest looking up the PUG (Pick Up Games) Discord Server. That should meet your needs.
