Relatively new DM looking for players- New Players Welcome!

My husband and I are looking to start a group. We'll be playing on discord & roll20. We'll be playing on Sunday nights at 7 pm EST. 

We're looking to have a small group of 4 or so people. New players are welcome. You can create your own characters using D&D Beyond or we'd be happy to create characters for you. It is up to you as the players. 

To help everyone get comfortable, our first campaign will be a short homebrew that we're designing together. Justin will be your main DM. I'm just the writer in the background watching it all unfold. I don't have the confidence to DM yet lol

Hello, I'd love to know a little more about the campaign!  I'm pretty easy going as far as character role (utility, tank, cleric), and enjoy the RP aspect as much as combat.  Please let me know any information you need to consider me.

Hey! Thanks for inquiring about the campaign. We're calling it the "Dancing Lights". I don't want to give everything away, but you're passing through a small town where you are asked to investigate strange happenings in the nearby woods.

We're not being too picky about who we include as we want to be welcoming to all players. It is a kind of first-come-first-serve situation. Our only real requirement is that you have availability on Sundays. We can be flexible with the time if something comes up here and there, but Sundays are our first choice in meeting time. 

Though I do not see much info about the world I'd gladly be willing to hear about it. I'm pretty laid back and just got off a semester of college; something to do on a Sunday that uses up the relaxation time sounds like fun. I own the physical copies of the PHB, DMG, Volos, Xanathars, Monster Manuel, and sword coast guide. I've read those all cover to cover. Retained most of it XD maybe. I own all the other books digitally. I've played as a PC in 5 5e campaigns. Currently in 1 shadowrun d20 game that's in hiatus and am actively playing in a star wars Saga edition game by wizards of the coast. My take on roleplay is to try and fit my group's mindset so normally I'm just myself than when we play I assume the role of my character. My character is usually a Goliath barbarian but I am open to other class routes. I'm 22.
