Newish Player Looking for a Group

Game: 5e

Group Preferred: Online

Experience: A little under a year but those were mostly homebrew.

Location: CST US (I work nights 0000-0800) though so I'm open to different time zones.

Availability: From 0730 Tuesdays to 2200 Fridays.

Preferred Role: Player (I've DMed before for a couple of one-shots and a homebrew I created but I want to spend more time as a player.) 

Game Style: I really like gameplay where the role-playing is heavy or can be incorporated into the combat. If it's an even balance I'm fine with that too.

My wife and I are looking to start a new group, if you’re interested. I’d be running a few one-shot sessions before getting into campaign territory, in case my DMing isn’t your style.

Group preferred: Online or Face-to-face (preferably online for the foreseeable future)
Experience: 3 years DMing (inconsistently, due to scheduling conflicts)
Location/Timezone: California PST
Availability: M-F: 6-10pm, Sat: Anytime, Sun: 7-11am, 4-9pm
Roles sought: Any roles acceptable, as long as characters are not Evil or Chaotic Neutral. Prefer to have PCs discuss character concepts before Session 0.
Game style: I like to have a solid mix between combat and RP; clever solutions to problems will almost always gain a bonus. DM/Player communication about character development is EXTREMELY important.

 What level would you start at? Also, would you be okay with me playing a character that I had used in a different campaign if I brought them back to that level?
