Two New Players for D&D (PST USA)

We are two new players to D&D, having created characters through the site's generator. We have experience playing RPG video games, but wanted to give tabletop a try.

If you can direct us to a group or community that can help us or welcomes new players, I would greatly appreciate it. Generally, open to most sources and games, just need guidance to better understand uncharted territory.

We are both into the fantasy and world building aspect of D&D, so anything with deep lore and fleshed out worlds would be great. Sorry if this sounds redundant or you've heard it before, just wanted to see how the community could help. Thanks!
