Looking for a group to play with, I have been missing D&D. I'm in a D&D campaign that hasn't met since February because of COVID-19. I'm working from home and have weekends free, so I'm looking for something either on weekdays after 5 pm MDT or on weekends. Feel free to message me with any questions
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (I have Discord and Roll20) Experience: I have been playing for a few years, I have tried multiple classes. Location/Timezone: MDT Availability: Weekdays after 5 pm / weekends Preferred role: Player Game style: Love roleplaying and love a group with a good sense of humor, I get along easily with other.
Are you looking for players or a DM? I can do either. I can do weekdays after 5, but for no longer than two and a half hours sessions. Would we be doing weekly or daily, I will only be able to show up once a week.
I'm looking for a DM, perhaps even a campaign that is already in progress that I can join. I need to scratch the D&D itch so if anyone is looking for a +1 for their campaign I'm interested.
I can commit long term, though once social distancing is no longer necessary somethings may change but who knows when that will be. A normal week before COVID-19 consists of an hour commute on weekdays so I would be home at 6 pm MDT, and my current D&D campaign would meet in person every other Friday night. Weekends still free.
big magic? long story? big items? engaging story? big swords? casual conversation? big shields? Focused gameplay? mini-maxing? massive treasure piles? difficult traps? singular path to success? open sandbox? plans to be the DPS? plans to be support? plans to be the healer? plans to be the tank? dank dungeons? groups of monsters? single bosses? urban exploration of cities? some? none? all? calculated XP? milestone points? maritime combat? aerial assaults? forestial fear? desert danger? small-party quickness? large-party protection? lots of rests? 72 hour stretches of intensity? Gods saving you? Running on unproven faith? devilish deals? paying the consequences? romance written in? racial discussion? Slavery of bestial races? Elemental enervation? Cruelty?
What kind of story do YOU want to help tell?
My story is currently the Dungeon of the Mad Mage in the 3rd basement with 7th Lvl adventurers. We meet on Wednesdays at 3PM AZ time(yes, I know that is a weird time zone, I am VERY aware) but if you are slightly late we are okay with that.
I'm in it for a good laugh and engaging story. A lot of people I have played with are a bunch of goofballs and wise-asses. As far as what I want to play, I like to play something different and I like to try new things. I like to try to fill in the gaps in the party. Need a tank and lacking some healing? Cool I haven't played a druid before, I'll make a tanky druid. Do you have fighters and a cleric but no mages? Wizard sounds fun, I'll try one. A lot of the enjoyment for me comes from creating a character and building their backstory. My favorite character I have created so far is a forest gnome arcane trickster with a slight lisp named Sparkles. Super fun to roleplay, he was flamboyant and would use the minor illusion cantrip to make himself sparkle when he introduced himself, he was also a silver-tongued bastard with a big ego. He liked using flashy spells like chromatic sphere and color spray. Chaotic neutral is so much fun, Sparkles has ended up in a couple of campaigns.
Well, 3 pm AZ time would mean I would be at least an hour late to each session, I have to be available until the corp office closes at 5 pm MDT. So does that work for you? Just to forewarn you, I haven't played D&D online before. All of my previous D&D campaigns have been in person so I'm sure there are some things I will have to get used to. But I am a tech guy, I work in IT and am an avid gamer should I should be able to figure it out.

Do we match?

I am fine with the late aspect. The first hour of game usually turns into a catch-up session for the players to check on the friends during Covid19.
We would be using Discord for Voice/(Video if we use video). https://discord.gg/hn3SXej
We would be using DnDBeyond(This site) for sheets.
We would be using Roll20 for maps.
We would be using the Beyond20 extension for Chrome/Firefox to send DnDBeyond rolls to Roll20.
