I'm a new player lookeing for a dm

I am interested in playing, and I am new to DnD as well. I would be learning with you. Are there any restrictions on races or classes? I am available in the mornings before noon, and on weekends pretty much all day until around 6 pm. That may be subject to change. I am interested to see where the campaign would go.
