5E rules (not looking to home brew rules just narrative)
I DM one group twice a week and am looking to start a side game to bridge the gap. Interested in seeing if there is any desire for a full on session 0. Start with a blank One Note and go from there.
The session would be 3-4 hours long, covering the landscape, the societies, the culture, the history all built up from there (still keeping the D&D fantasy setting). Character creation with backstory, goals, drivers done individually so that it can come out in game.
Then from there we will just wing it into some adventures and see what happens.
Its ambitious and could fail and fall apart easily (5 strangers trying to be creative together, what could go wrong?!?!) but if this sounds appealing and like me you just need the distraction, want the challenge and won’t be upset if it fizzles out, reply below with.
Age:
D&D experience:
Narrative influences:
Preferred play style:
Looking for 4 players so if there is a lot of interest will try and find a balanced group
This sounds perfect for me I'm UK based and would love a big campaign to get lost in coincidentally if it fizzles out, fair enough, these things happen, hopefully I can make enough of a good impression that you'll want to invite me back.
Age: 29
D&D Experience: A few years
Narrative Influences: Fantasy and sci-fi, dystopian novels and movies with great acting pieces.
Preferred style of play: Good roleplay and drama with good hack n slash and creative solutions.
My discord is CynicalMonkey#1958 drop me a DM we can have a chat about play style and influences, what we want to get out of the game etc, and potentially head forward from there
This sounds like something me and a bud are always talking about doing when we've had a beer.
Age: 30
D&D experience: 1 session as a player, 3 years on and off as a DM
Narrative influences: Story driven RPG, fantasy/high fantasy novels and about to start reading H.P Lovecraft
Preferred play style: As a player? Just to get to give it a go again! Got a few characters i mind but see what we can come up with as a setting first!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Forever DMing with ideas for characters. My characters: Abaddon: Dragonborn Conquest Paladin of Tiamat. Eyrendil Ginn: Half-Elf Swashbuckler Rogue/Pirate. Wear boots with spurs so is always heard coming.

Age: 26
D&D experience: minimal (only played once before and watched some streams)
Narrative influences: lots of popular fantasy and sci-fi, I guess, including video games. Also, theatre.
Preferred play style: Not entirely sure what this means. The more roleplay the better though!
When you say played once before do you mean one session or one campaign?
this might be a lot for your second session.
the plan would be to create an entire setting from the ground up cooperatively and then just go with it.
Just one session! I completely agree, it might be. It sounds fantastic though, so if you end up with a space you know I'm keen.

Age: 19
D&D experience: a few months as a player, have played a few short campaigns. I have a good grasp on most of the rules but not so great at rp
Narrative influences: Mcelroy The Adventure zone, fantasy/sci-fi films/tv
Preferred play style: pretty laid back, I always liked the idea that the rules take a back seat to fun :)
