Deep below the grand city of Waterdeep lies a labyrinthine dungeon full of danger, treasure, and madness. Many adventurers have heard Undermountain's call and unable to resist its allure, descended into the depths, most never to return.
Will you be the first to reach the bottom and uncover Undermountain's secrets?
Pay to Play: this game requires payment per session to play. The price is 15 british pounds per session. Payment is preferred to be received through PayPal. Session zero is free. If you miss a session that has already been paid for, for any reason, you can request a full refund or have it be towards the next session.
D&D Beyond Content: joining the game will also give you access to the D&D Beyond content I have unlocked through the sharing feature.
The Adventure: This game uses the official Dungeon of the Mad Mage module with some modifications. It is a large dungeon crawl with each level bringing new challenges, foes, and potential allies. My modifications to the module aim to shorten each floor somewhat and bring a greater focus to the narrative of each floor.
Me: I am a passionate and dedicated dungeon master who has been running games for over 16 years. I am currently running two other very successful pay-to-play games. My style is mostly fun and relaxed, but when the going gets tough the enemies don't pull their punches!
You: I'm looking for 4-5 players that are able to commit to weekly sessions for a long-form campaign. New players and experienced alike are welcome to join and I'm happy to run for a group of individuals or a pre-established group. Voice chat will be conducted over discord so a decent mic is required. Roll20 will be used as a virtual table top - making an account is free.
Time Slot: sessions will take place either monday or tuesday evenings (UK time, GMT+1). I am flexible on the exact time. Sessions will generally be 3 hours long but overrunning often happens.
Get in Touch: if you are interested or have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch and drop me a message! Places will be first come first serve!
Please note that Roll20 (and D&D Beyond) is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
Hi! I'd be sincerely interested in joining a serious group (so the money req. is a plus for me + I know right now supplemental doesn't hurt xD) I've checked your post and happy to see your involvement int he community.
I'm not available 12-2pm US Central Time (-5 GMT) on Mondays but literally available the rest of the week at all times excluding weekend - Sat/Sunday (family).
I've played a full Starfinder Adventure lv 1-12 that met consistently over 4 months summer of 2018 and I told myself once I reached 50 characters made on DnD beyond I'd reach out and start looking for groups.
I've never played DnD but gamed all my life, watched all of Season 1 and 2 of Crit role, made 50+ characters on DnD Beyond, have 180 hours on roll20, and am willing to play literally anything as long as the group is serious about being consistent with it. I'm easy going and I love getting immersed in the world.
Only question s are:
1) If you have an approximation of time allotted per session given that it's paid?
2) Is there a minimum number of players that are required to show up to continue play? If 2 show up and pay.. do we control npc characters or will you play bots for us, etc?
3) Is there buybacks? As in if we Die (cause it is a dungeon crawl after-all) are we out for the session narratively and can we come back in next session (new char) or are we out permanently? Iron-man mode.
My discord is Chocobo#3429 if you'd prefer to discuss the points mentioned above there :D
1) Sorry, should have mentioned that and I will update the post. Sessions are normally 3 hours long but often time I find myself overrunning
2) My general rule is that a session is on if we have half or more of the players. Absent characters are temporarily written out or sidelined if possible (and are immune to death).
3) Death is not the end! The standard dnd fare of making a new character or taking over an npc until ressurection.
