Hey there, i'm a returning player from 15-20 years ago who lives in Canada under gmt-6 time zone. Been trying to get back into a proper game but been running into weird restrictions and campaign settings. I'm just an old school guy who wants some traditional D&D. Schedule is versatile and would ideally like to play at least once a week. I don't mind playing any class if you need for a rounded out party. Would prefer not to play traditional cleric if possible. No homebrew or modern time settings or anything video game inspired pls.
Yo my man I’m in the same boat more or less for preference. I’m EST looking for a 5e campaign to play through with some competent, game driven players. Let me know if you find a group that needs more than 1.
I'm brand new to the game. I have a campaign starting on 18/06/20 with some friends and I'm looking to get some more experience. I have a servant / healer / religious Dragonborn Sorc I put some time and suggestions into I'd love to play around with.
For sure, i mean if we get enough people we can always look for a DM who wants to run some real D&D. i think 4-6 people would be ideal, anymore than that and the experience gets diluted imo. As for knowledge, its been a while since i played so I wouldn't be able to help too much with the mechanic aspects or in depth rules. Im thinking within 1-2 sessions with a proper DM we'd all be golden though. New players arent a problem as long as you have an experienced DM and hopefully not one who is ridiculously strict.
I've been playing DND for 40 years now. I am DMing a Pay to Play 5e campaign just starting settled in The Forgotten Realms in the area that they call the Unapproachable East. It is centered on the city of Telflam where there is Shou Town which encompasses 25% of the 70,000 people city. It is the end of the trading route from Kara-Tur. In this city, western and oriental cultures meet, with adventuring with goblins, orcs, elves as well as the Yakuza, the Kensei, the Ninja, and Wu-Jen casters. Monks would thrive here as we have the Oriental Weapons Compendium and spellcasters have access to spells from Kara-Tur updated for 5e even back from the AD&D Oriental Adventures and all other that came after that. Everything according to the current lore of the 5e Forgotten Realms. I have run this campaign for other players for a year and a half now. This is a long-term commitment with space for two, maybe three more players. It is Sundays at 6 PM EST. Here is the link for more details. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/233443/the-lady-from-kara-tur-sundays-3pm-pt
