This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of 10€ through Paypal or Revolut in advance of each session.
About the game
The campaigns and stories are well suited for people completely new to DnD, I have had great success in the past introducing new players to DnD. The campaigns are also well suited to veterans that are looking for a stable group to play with weekly. The first campaign will be a pre-made adventure with a slight spin on it from myself and then followed up by a larger and more expansive adventure where the players really will get to be put through their paces. Even with both adventures being premade, then I have worked to make them into one large overarching story. I put a lot of work into my players, to try and help you weave your character into the story, so you can feel personally invested in the game.
I employ professional made battle maps, area maps and other supporting art, so there will always be something for your eye to explore while the game is on. I use plenty of ambience and thematical music throughout the session to improve the feel and bring you into the story.
Even though these are premade adventures then I only use it as a framework from which I add a lot of my own spin to the story, and flesh out many areas in greater detail, so every place and every person you encounter will feel like a living person in the world. Even if you know the adventure at hand, then you can expect many hidden plots and expansive elements added to the story. The game will be set in the forgotten realms setting, however, I use the setting as a framework from which there might be differences. This adventure will take you from levels 1 - 5 and if the chemistry is right and the group wants too, I got an add-on ready for this campaign taking you from levels 5 - 10+ This will then make the campaign a long-running one (multiple months’ worth), with plenty of room for individual character growth and for the party to grow together.
Quick Details We will use roll20 to play on Discord server for you players as a group and connection in and out of the game Voice only required You will get access to a shared Google doc with useful resources connected to the game, like calendar tracking, moon cycles etc.
Schedule: Weekly, Thursday’s at 8:00 PM CEST/GMT+2 (Time is a placeholder it can be changed to better fit the party) (The time can be adjusted to fit the group, should it be necessary)
Game Length: Minimum of 3 hours per session, with the possibility of running longer if the group desires and if I'm able to (often are).
This campaign is expected to take several months to complete. As is the structure of a D&D game, consistency and attendance are held in high regard and of great importance, you should be able to attend most sessions for this time period. (However if some players are unable to attend we will work together to make it work, often a weekly session will still happen.)
Starting Level: 1 Finishing Level: 5+ with an add-on to level 10+ Maximum Group Size: 6 players (aiming for 5)
About me
I am a 26-year-old, Dane who loves all things fantasy. In the last few years, I have completely fallen for D&D, ever since I saw the very first session of Critical Role. I enjoy running games and creating a fun experience for my players. I endeavour to create the best experience for all my players and to deliver a great engrossing story for them to explore. I take great inspiration from Matt Colville and I like to run my games and campaigns by the rule of cool, if you have something you would like to do, then we’ll make it work (within reason of cause)
I currently run multiple groups a week and would consider myself a professional DM, I am very thankful that im able to supplement my student income by doing something that brings happiness to others. The current groups I got running, have been going on for 6 months+ now, so im very familiar at running long games, where you can really get a chance to dive down into the world with your character.
How I run the game
The aim of the game is for all involved to have fun. This never comes at the expense of someone else’s, so my main focus point when running the game will always be to ensure everyone leaves at the end of a session feeling satisfied. I usually communicate with players between sessions, to judge the feeling for the campaign, and to gather feedback etc. I pride myself on my commitment to your game and group.
The rule of cool
I am a firm believer in the rule of cool and generally quite relaxed and open about going slightly outside the book rules. However, the rule of thumb is to assume the book rules take president unless we have spoken and agreed otherwise. “I follow the rules when they make sense, sometimes rules are made to be broken”.
About the price
Session 0 and session 1 will be free, to allow you as a group and players to get a feel for how I DM and run the game.
Why pay?
Running a game takes a lot of planning and out of sessions effort, I also invest a lot of what I might earn back into the campaigns, buying professional maps, and images, Roll20 subscription etc.
Paying also ensures that you guys will be in for quality and that I will never cancel a session.
In my experience with paid games players are also more invested and this allows for greater gameplay experience, more stability, and all-round a higher quality experience.
Payment
Payment will be made through Paypal or Revolut. Whichever service you find easiest, Revolut has no transfer fees, so I would suggest using this one. You can pay weekly or pay monthly. (Most people prefer the latter, as its easier to keep track of)
Character creation
You can go with two ways of doing this, 27 Point buy or roll using the 3 ups - 3 down method. (I allow for stats to be generated between 6 and 16) I use these ways of generating ability points as it guarantees a balanced starting point for that party.
I also have a few premade characters that would weave into the story in different ways, this can be explored if you want to use them, or maybe take inspiration from their backstories to make something of your own.
I like to work player characters into the story in some way, down the road or right from the start. So when creating your character I like to be involved and work with you to make your dreams and the story you wish to explore reality. I would recommend that if you have a character in mind, it would be beneficial to create the character to fit the world, rather than the world fit your character.
Further details about character creation will be discussed prior to the game.
What players to expect
You might well expect players of the same frame of mind as yourself, as I aim to get a group with the same wants from the campaign. So there will be a bit of an interview process to guarantee the best player chemistry.
I have had great success in the past doing this and managed to get good group chemistries.
Homebrew rules
Potions: Using a Potion (of any kind) on yourself is a bonus action, whereas using it on others is an action.
Health: You will roll for Hit Points upon levelling, however, if you roll below the average, you may take the average instead. "your rolling to try and get above the average"
Death Save: Death Saves will be rolled by the unconscious player and shared only with the DM. This is to avoid metagame knowledge and introduce a sense of urgency when someone goes down.
Being knocked unconscious: First time in combat is the normal rules, 2nd time you're knocked unconscious on the same day, you will take a point of exhaustion, 3rd time another point and so on. This is an attempt to portray that stress that is put upon the character's body through traumas of being knocked out.
Flanking: Flanking will not give advantage on attacks but instead be a +2 to your attack roll, you will get a +1 if you're not directly opposite your ally, opening up a larger flanking angle. This rule also applies to enemies.
Other house rules will be discussed as the game goes on and when they become relevant.
General rules of conduct
Please try to design a character that will be able to work as a team and function with the rest of the party. (no edgy characters)
If a player is abusive or discriminatory towards another player or myself, they will be promptly removed from the game. This is to ensure everyone plays in a fun environment. There is a zero-tolerance policy for this kind of behaviour.
The game is about having fun if you feel you’re not having as much as you would want, talk to me and we might be able to change things for the better. I make a big point out of talking to my players between sessions and adjusting the game accordingly to the feedback.
Please respect your fellow players and your DM. I would ask that everyone acts friendly towards one another and gives others an equal chance to share the spotlight.
No one's fun comes at the expense of someone else's.

I go buy Harleyquin or Harley for short, I'm 30 M; I'm currently in Tampa FL. As for what I'm looking for, I'm into story progression and having fun with my party. I'm still relatively new to D&D but I like think of interesting ideas to run with a group weather for shenanigans or combat. As for an Ideal group, from what little I know about party comp, we should have at least one of each DPS, Support, Spell caster, and utility. as for types of players I'm rather flexible when meshing with others. So far I've completed Dragon of Icespire Peak on Roll20 and have an Eberron Campaign on fantasy grounds. as it is ryt now I have only one game that runs on Sat. love my group, but looking for more chances to play.

What kind of story/game are you after?: I enjoy heroic campaigns with fairly optimized characters in an immersive campaign setting. Even split of rping, exploring, and combat is best. I like wilderness or urban settings as much as I like dungeon crawls. I'd also like my 7-y-o girl to be able to co-play with me, but I won't let it drag the pace down. She's really into it; see below.
What will you bring to the group?: Team playing. Although I like to optimize, I'm not a metagamer or min-maxer. I don't like any one character imbalancing the party and enjoy strategically cooperating to bring every player's and his or her character's talents to the fore.
What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): People who like to work together as a party. I expect the DM to ensure everyone has a voice, a chance to play, and has fun, even if it's a mix of experience levels.
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general? 3+ years obsessive AD&D playing, both as a player and as a DM, when I was a kid as well as occasional games in college. I returned to D&D nine months ago. I love 5e. Although I haven't mastered the rules yet, I'm getting there. Because my kids are young, I can't just leave the family to go play on someone's board, so I've been running solo adventures (e.g., by Paul Bilmer) at home with my 7-y-o girl and occasionally her friends. I'm currently DMing her three (!) characters through Icespire Peak; in reality, this means I'm coplaying her three characters with her while also DMing ;) It's not ideal, which is one reason I'm looking for a campaign I can join.
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones? As a kid, we mixed modules with our own custom "dungeons". I've DMed or played so many of the AD&D classic, I wouldn't know where to begin. Curse of Strahd was my favorite then, and it remains my favorite, although I've only read through the 5e materials, never DMed or played them. As I mentioned, we've done solo adventures bought on Dungeon Master's Guild. We've started both the Icespire Peak adventure set and the Lost Mines.
Anything else?: Weekends, especially Sundays, would be best. My favorite classes are assassin or arcane trickster, gloomstalker ranger, shadow monk, and bladesinger.
Questions for me?: How often (weekly and number of hours) do you plan to DM? Do you allow non-core races? How do you determine character abilities?

What kind of story/game are you after?: Heroic campaign with plenty of background information. I enjoy Role playing my character and building the dynamic of getting to know your party members. I am open to any types of adventures as long as there is a story behind it, not just hack and slash. Though I do enjoy thrashing a bugbear or two :) .
What will you bring to the group?: Experience of being a team player and leadership qualities. I have role-played the "Mighty" hero and also the "Bumbling" hero I consider myself to be able to play different roles pretty quickly. A relaxed attitude and open mindedness.
What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): I enjoy gaming with like minded people who are there to have fun and enjoy the company and the game itself.
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general? Ugh! hmmmmm. A long time. I started playing D&D when I was 9 years old (The red basic & blue expert box set) through the years I have played 1st, 2nd and 3rd edition. I have recently gotten back into gaming about 2 years ago and have enjoyed 5th Edition a lot. I am capable on using Roll20, I have run a few one shots for friends recently and am pretty comfortable with the mechanics of it. As for RP in general: D&D, Pathfinder, GURPS, Middle Earth, Twilight 2000, WH 40K, Gangbusters, CarWars, Deadlands, Vampire the Masquerade, Champions....... I forgot the rest LOL.
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones? Most of the "Classic" modules from 1st and 2nd ed. Recently Descent into Avernus and modules from DM's Guild. Forgotten Realms campaigns various editions.
Anything else?: Pretty open to any evening after 5 PM CST. .... I will probably think of something later and update it here.
Questions for me?: What part of Faerun will your campaign be set in? Any races or classes not allowed?

What kind of story/game are you after?: I like epic stories and fantasy games, good fights and memorable characters. I got exited for the game through Critical Role and other streams and podcasts. I would like to talk my way out of an encounter as well as smash some goblins or find other fun alternatives to progress the story.
What will you bring to the group?: Enthusiasm, team play and hope a lot fun!
What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): I like open minded people that came to enjoy the game and make it fun for themselves and others. I like cooperation and team play. Happy if GM and other are not afraid to role play so that i can too :)
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general? I am new and I would like to play some DnD. I know the 5e basic rules and mechanics. I will use DnD Beyond for my character. I know Fearun from the lore perspective. Got roll20 too, but did not use it.
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones? I did not play any premade campaigns so far.
Anything else?: My favorite characters would be a paladin or a cleric. Flexible with other spell casters and not so much into fighters, barbarians, rangers. I am OK with Thursday from 8.00 PM. Sunday evening would also work.
Questions for me?: What adventures do you run? What races / classes are allowed?
Thank you very much for all the applications! I have replied to each of you in a private message. If anyone else is interested in potentially joining then go right ahead and send in an application, I'll be accepting them till the game is full. Planned session 0 is going to be on the 2nd of July, but if the group can be put together fast then could start on the 25th.
We still have 3 spots left open for this campaign. Some people have been asking the first adventure is Lost mines of Phandelver with a slight spin on it. More so really tieing into that adventure with the 2nd one making it one large overarching story. I would say It got the feels of LOTR, so if your a fan of that world Im certain you will have fun with this adventure.

What kind of story/game are you after?: I like the games to be a nice balance of rp and combat.
What will you bring to the group?: Well that all depends on what is need or what would best fit in with the group at hand.
What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): I get along with most people, it is a game about the group and as long as one person is not trying to do everything them self's I find there never really any problems.
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general? I have a lot of D&D experience, I have a good bit with 5e, and a little will roll20. For rp I have been doing it for years.
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones? I have only recently started running premade. So far I have only done a old D&D advanced one called cult of the lizard god, and curse of strahd.

What kind of story/game are you after?: I'm in it for the adventure/exploration and combat, and I have no issues RPing.
What will you bring to the group?: I'm a very strategy/thoughtful person and will always try to think 3 steps ahead. and I have had the idea for a changeling ranger brewing in the back of my mind for a while now but I can be flexible with what the group needs.
What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): I can get along with pretty much anyone, however, I am a very reserved person.
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general?: I playtested a friend of mines campaign about a year ago but he dropped it after only 3 sessions. I don't have any experience with roll20, but with D&D overall, I have a lot of experience with the game and how to play from watching/listening to Critical Role, and NADDPOD, but I don't have much hands-on/personal experience. And as for RP like I said before I have no issues RPing.
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones?: I have not
Anything else?: I have had the idea for a changeling ranger brewing in the back of my mind for a while and would love the chance to finally run it, but I do have other ideas as backups.
Thank you very much for showing interesting in joining the campaign I have gone ahead and sent you a private message.
For everyone else ill be accepting applications up till end next week, if you have any questions about how I run my games etc. feel free to ask them. For now, we got 3 more slots open for the campaign. Hope to hear from anyone interested.

What kind of story/game are you after?: I love the story of the game more than anything else. But I also love the combat and adventure side of the game
What will you bring to the group?: I lean into the role playing I do accents, dramatic story telling, baudy jokes, and quite a few monty python references.
What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): any people at all but I find adults are best at not limiting the subject matter
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general? Tons of experience! I love dnd and I've been playing for many years
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones? none to completion sadly :(
Anything else?: I'm happy to fill and role in the game
Questions for me?: Do you like integrating creative backstories with the main story?
We currently have only 2 spots left open for this campaign. We are looking at having session 0 on the 2nd of July - however if enough applications come in before the 25th then there's the potential for that as the first session.
Name (Real or what you prefer to be called by): Ismael , Isma is fine.
Age: 20 (21 next month)
Gender: Male
The country you’re from: Mexico
Time zone you're currently in: GMT-5 (but I’m always free after mid day of that time zone)
What kind of story/game are you after?: I like all aspects of the game but I’d say I’m particularly interested in a balance of combat and role playing. I’m also very fond of solving puzzles.
What will you bring to the group?: I’m a committed player who likes to get along with everyone. I’m pretty chill when it comes to social interactions. I like to make sure everyone is having fun. I can both follow and lead and am always open to new ideas and strategies (I can go with the flow).
What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): I like open minded people with strong beliefs and ideals but who know to relax from time to time. I love people who can both take and make a joke but know where to draw the line. Gameplay wise I’d love to be part of a group that enjoys a good balance between rp and combat and who are willing to learn and teach each other. I like to work as a team but also find it cool when everyone holds the spotlight for a while.
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general? I‘m still fairly new, I’ve only played for 2~3 months now but I have a good understanding of the basics of 5E. I’ve read the PHB cover to cover and most of the DMG. I’m not really experienced with roll20 yet but I’ve been watching a lot of tutorials and reading most of the documentation lately, I’m confident I’ll soon have a good understanding of it.
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones? I’ve played the starting ones LMoP and DoIP as well as several one shots such as Wolves of Welton, Defiance in Phlan and How not to host a murder. I was about to start curse of strahd a month ago but my group disbanded due to most other players being busy with other things.
Anything else?: I’m happy to play any role and I already have several character ideas I’d like to try out. Both of them lay more on the support type during combat, Iwas thinking a bard or a cleric, except the cleric would be a lawful neutral character who is strongly devoted to some deity and the bard a chaotic good ex assassin who is trying to become a better person. Although I love role playing I’m still not very confident in my skill so forgive me if I can’t to many voices. I love the lore in fantasy worlds. I’m a maths major so I like to find creative ways to solve problems.
Questions for me?: I don’t think I saw the price anywhere. What kind of expectations do you have of us as players? How much Role Play is expected? How casual will this be, or is this more of a serious little joking around game? How long will the campaign be? I’m rather excited for a long term campaign.
Thank you very much for showing interest in the campaign I have sent you both a private message so we can discuss further.
To answer Pirya's question: The campaigns length depends often on how fast the group decides to move. However, these campaigns will roughly run 10 - 12 months, with a weekly 3-hour game.
To answer July17's question: The price is stated at the very top of the thread. It's 10€ per session. - I like to run my games almost like you would expect a home game to run, I like to have fun as much as you guys do, I run the game itself serious, but often join in on that party's jokes etc. and like to keep the atmosphere lighthearted and fun. At the end of the day this is what we are all here for, to have fun and develop this story together.
Is it to late the send in my application or can I still send it and be a substitute for if someone cant make it? I'm also new to D&D and I've been trying to find a group to join for a while now but ultimately haven't found anything. Also I live close to Malmö are you from Kopenhagen by any chance?
You may certainly send in your application, currently got only 1 spot left open, but ill accept any and all applications still. If the group fills then I will keep good applications in mind, should there be a player that has to leave at some point.
What kind of story/game are you after?: I want explore the world of DnD, I love reading about the lore and solving problems, I'm not very good at fighting mainly because of a lack of experience but I have nothing against it, I like to become better at it if luck will grant me that. Roleplaying wise I usually have a little bit of trouble getting into my character's shoes in the begining but I think thats probably normal for everyone. I love wrighting and I especially looking forward to see and experience a passionate DMs work.
What will you bring to the group?:I enjoy meeting all kinds of people with all types of backgrounds it is a part of my job. if I notic that someone is being left out of the group I usually try to inclued them often becoming good freinds in the progress. I'm fine picking any role our party needs, I even prefer it that way as it helps me coming up with original new ideas I would normally not have thought about.
What would your ideal group look like?: I like poeple that are chill and lighthearted. other than that I don't really have any mortal enemies that I just cant stand.
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general?:I played 2 short campaigns, 1 one-shot and I've listened toa bunch of DnD podcasts.
Played any premade campaigns before? if so which ones? : I've done a homebrew and I think my first campaign was a beginners which I cant find the name of.
Anything else?: I like for those that can and want to use a webcam so its easier to see who is talking and it also helps with the roleplaying makes it easier to stay in character if you have to focus less on who's talking I feel like.
Questions for me?Advice for where I should head to, to find more groups I can maybe join if the group stays full or it doesnt work out.

You can go with two ways of doing this, 27 Point buy or roll using the 3 ups - 3 down method. (I allow for stats to be generated between 6 and 16)
I use these ways of generating ability points as it guarantees a balanced starting point for that party.

Questions for me?:

Long time RPG gamer. Interested in D&D 5E, Pathfinder or Starfinder.
I am not easily offended. I will not go out of my way to offend anyone.

Hope to hear from anyone interested

Thank you very much for the interest Ash, I have sent you a private message so we can discuss/interview further.
Hope to hear from you.

Thank you very much for showing interesting in joining the campaign
I have gone ahead and sent you a private message.
For everyone else ill be accepting applications up till end next week, if you have any questions about how I run my games etc. feel free to ask them.

Thank you very much for your application Red
I have gone ahead and sent you a private message so we can conduct a further interview.

Hope to hear from anyone interested!

What would your ideal group look like? (what kind of people would you usually get along with?): All people :)
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general? Tons of experience! I have been playing for many years
Played any pre-made campaigns before? if so which ones? I am currently in one, with a group of friends
Anything else?: Nope
Questions for me?: How do long campaigns last for generally?
Best regards, hope to hear from you soon.
Hello!

What will you bring to the group?: I enjoy meeting all kinds of people with all types of backgrounds it is a part of my job. if I notic that someone is being left out of the group I usually try to inclued them often becoming good freinds in the progress. I'm fine picking any role our party needs, I even prefer it that way as it helps me coming up with original new ideas I would normally not have thought about.
What would your ideal group look like?: I like poeple that are chill and lighthearted. other than that I don't really have any mortal enemies that I just cant stand.
What experience have you got with DnD, 5e, Roll20, and RP in general?: I played 2 short campaigns, 1 one-shot and I've listened toa bunch of DnD podcasts.
Questions for me? Advice for where I should head to, to find more groups I can maybe join if the group stays full or it doesnt work out.
