Hello, My name is Brandon and I am looking for some players to take on the classic Sunless Citadel adventure using the VTT Roll20. I run the game Rules-As-Written, but try to allow for plenty of agency and autonomy for the PCs. I love a good, challenging tactical combat, but also love putting on a funny voice and RPing.
You all ought to be able to complete it in around 4 sessions between 3-4 hours each, depending on tactics. The characters will begin at level 1 and go through level 3. This is a great starting adventure for new players! No homebrew, otherwise I am pretty open to your character ideas as long as they are gonna play well with the rest of the group! Roll20 is a Virtual TableTop that allow for a lot of great additions to the game, like dynamically lit dungeons! This whole adventure you will be controlling a token of yourself and will actually be able to see on your screen what your character would see on the map with lighting and fog-of-war. I love it!
***We will be using dndbeyond for character sheets (I have ALL the books) and a browser plugin to connect our sheets to the Roll20 game*** We will also use Discord for voice chat.
About the adventure: Another party of adventurers, locally based, delved into the Sunless Citadel a month past. They were never seen again. Two human members of that ill-fated party were brother and sister, Talgen Hucrele (a fighter) and Sharwyn Hucrele (a wizard). They were part of an important merchant family based in the nearby village of Oakhurst. Kerowyn Hucrele, the matriarch of the family, has offered salvage rights to you and your team if you can find and return with the two lost members of her family—or at least return the gold signet rings worn by the missing brother and sister. She also offered a reward of 125 gp per signet ring, per character. Double, if the characters bring back the Hucreles in good shape (of good mind and body).
I will post a player app in the discussion below! $5 per session. *****, Paypal and Zelle. This comes out to just over $1/hour and greatly helps offset the DM cost of Roll20 & dndbeyond subscriptions, battlemaps, and other assets.
