Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: veteran Location/Timezone: US Central Availability: Friday/saturday after 8pm, Sunday must finish by 10pm Preferred role: Player Game style: I'm hoping for an opportunity to help new players in the realm of character creation/advancement, roleplaying, and creativity within the bounds of the normal dnd rulebase. I'd like to enter as a player so as to be able to enjoy the story myself and not get bogged down by normal dming responsibilities. I expect my efforts should help ease the stress on an overwhelmed dm, OR perhaps help guide a new dm. I'd love to play in the Wildemount or Theros settings, however I also love playing in reflavored scifi/magitech campaigns due to the creativity that reskinning offers. I also have all of the current dnd beyond sources available to share to a campaign if you like.

Brett - I'm an older dude who has gotten the itch to play after a long time. Youngest just graduated high school so I am getting a little time back. Played just a little in college (1990) until our group turned to Champions. I am familiar with all things geeky, but have no clue on the current state of D&D. My oldest started playing and got me interested. I am eastern standard time and would need to play later, like a start time of 8:00/8:30pm. I did create a Ranger here. That interested me the most. Would love to get in a game with someone that could help me develop my background. I do have discord, but I am new to it. SCTarheel#5054
Well I'd be happy to join if you've got a group. Background work depends heavily on the setting so you'd need to start by getting an idea of the setting from the dm. OR you can actually develop background flavor as you play. When you have to make a decision and you're not sure what your character would do or why. You can make a choice based on what sounds the most fun or interesting and either use that as forward character development, or figure out what in your character's history would have caused that decision. Just an idea. Cheers.
