Hi, I'm a brand new player looking for an all-girls or LGBT group around my age (I'm turning 23 next month) to play 5th Edition using Discord. Preferably I would also like to have other newbies so we can learn together, but if you're more experienced, that would be great! This summer I started DMing Lost Mine of Phandelver for my girlfriend and friends who are also new to D&D, but I want to experience being a player too!
I say all-girls at first because as a shy cis woman, I'm more familiar with that demographic in my age group, but honestly any kinds of queer are welcome.
I have bought all of the sourcebooks on D&D Beyond but no subscription (yet). I've read over the Player's Handbook more than once, and I read/skimmed over the Dungeon Master's Guide, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, and Volo's. So I'm familiar with the rules, but I haven't memorized it by rote.
Although I don't have a Roll20 account, I am open to getting one if need be. I would like for us to get to know each other first through either Discord or PMing me here if you don't want to hand out your Discord tag yet. We can hammer out further details from there.
I don't have a set number in mind for the group size, but at minimum there has to be 2-3 other players and of course someone has to be willing to be DM. You can be a stricter DM with the rules or be more casual. If you're completely brand new with no knowledge, that's fine too! We'll help each other along.
I'm in the EST time zone, so it would be easiest if you are as well. Of course, other time zones are okay too since my current group have CST and PST and we've managed to make it work (albeit the sessions have grown irregular once college started up again). Ideally, we would play once a week in three-hour sessions, but I am completely flexible and understanding with any last-minute troubles with scheduling. I only ask that you'll be the same as well with me since I'm a part-time student finishing up one more class, and I have a part-time job.
I am generally free on Tuesday (up until 10 pm EST) and the weekend. For the weekend, I'd prefer if we play during the morning or afternoon since my other group prefers to play at night if they're free from schoolwork or work.
Thanks for looking this over and I'm looking forward to meeting you! PM or answer this forum if you're interested in having a fun gay time.
Yo, I'm down to join! I've only played half a campaign of AD&D 2E myself, when I was a kid with my siblings, but I've watched and learned a whole lot of D&D online and I want to find cool people as nerdy as can be to play my first real game wit. I am a dude, but you seem nice n' progressive so I bet it's okay! I'd love to play a character, or DM even though I've never done it heretofore!

Hey I'm also a girl looking for that sort of thing!
i don't have any experience with DnD but it's something I've been interested in for a while and I'm trying to do some new things
i think I'd prefer a smaller party because of anxiety if that's alright, and I think I'm open for most days
I'm still waiting on an invite to an all girls dnd discord (apparently they've had a lot of requests) so maybe we can find more people there!
anyway if you want to chat my discord is maziemouse#7703
