I am looking for a group new to dnd like me, I wanted to try to DM for once, and I have a pretty basic story
so here is my idea for the story, we start off at level one, hopefully five players, will accept less, and what I wanted to do was to undo a certain wrong from an old play, I have a couple ideas that might interest you.
We are going to be playing the story of Romeo and Juliet, accept I decided to have a twist to said story. To begin with, the Capulets are elven nobles, who with the help of the king had become very powerful, but had grown weak in recent times, while the Montagues are new-blood humans, who through combat for the king has risen in society, the reason there is a bitterness between the two is that the Montagues are fairly new on the scene, and don't trust the old blood after all, they never helped to raise them up did they, while the Capulets look down on the new blood because they had ruled the lands for time immemorial, who are these peasants that say they are equals?
My idea is that Juliet was raised by a human servant, and so can emphathize with the Montagues, but she doesn't have all the support needed to overthrow the thinking of decades, to make matters worse the town is constantly under seige by human and elven barbarians, so both sides seem to blame each other, however, there is a twist to this. You see, the raiders are actually hired thugs by the corrupt king, who decided that joining the two houses would lead to a threat to his power [he is very paranoid in this one] and so does all he can to keep them from banding together. Our group of adventurers are then called in by the friar laurence, who wants protection for his town and for this pointless feud to stop, he hires them so they can finally solve this feud, throughout the story though clues will finally reveal the true culprit for these feuds, along the way we will explore an abandoned estate in a spooky forest, fight monsters and solve this mystery through wit luck and true love
my discord is jdizzles #5920
I am available most days from 1 to 3 mountain time
well I can't guarantee sucess because I am still new to this but I can try, just send me a friend request on discord and we can see what we can do, trust me dnd is awesome
Well, I'm not sure if you want an old man playing, but I haven't played D&D since college back in the mid-90s (yes, I'm THAT old), so I'm kinda new at it now. So I'm interested if you need someone. And just FYI - weekends are best for me to play.
I could be down to join, I'm also new but I have a decent enough idea of how to play. I'm mostly free on weekends but can do some weekday evenings (except Wednesdays).
