When: Mondays at 11:00am Eastern Where: Tabletop Simulator, character sheets on Dicecloud with help from DM due to the flexibility of that system and a desire to keep things uniform. What: Wildemount Setting with a focus on long-term play and heavy focus on lore and backstory. Who: We are looking for one more player to join our table. We need someone who can be flexible with character creation and who understands that not all ideas fit at every table. There is an intended campaign already being formed and while I am happy to fit you into it fully, I may not be able to make every character concept work.
P.S.: Campaign has not begun yet, but we want to start SOON
We are looking for another player that is actively involved in the roleplay aspect of this game, including being invested in lore and backstory. Someone who can take a back seat when the arc is focused on someone else, but can lead the charge when the spotlight is on them. Someone not afraid to play a flawed character and to play out those flaws. We're not looking for lone wolves, minmax dice rollers who don't care about the flavor text, murder hobos (I can't promise a fight every session, and there are laws in this world, but rewards come regularly), or people who insist on making themselves an important part of every scene.
If you're interested in playing, feel free to respond down below with your level of experience (new players are welcome) with TTRPG's in general, whether or not you are familiar with Wildemount (no familiarity or limited is actually preferred, but not necessary), and the kind of character you are interested in. I don't mean species or classes, I mean who your character is at their core. And please also leave your Discord information for faster replies.
For experience, I'm still new, only started playing when the quarantine started, wanted to get into it back then but never had the time. I have played a couple of one shots to get a feel for d&d and have enjoyed and now looking for game with a long campaign. As for roleplay, I used to do text heavy roleplays back then. As for Wildemount, I'm not familiar with the story or lore of it but have used to book as source/guide material for the Choronugy Class.
For my character, I'm interested in playing a dark background character since you mentioned that the game will be very story and lore driven, he/she tends to be outgoing and puts on a face but deep down, he/she is full of hate who is out for revenge who is the cause of the destruction of his/her family/sibling/loved one/himself/herself, mostly like a former employer/slave owner/caretaker and as the story would move forward, he/she would have to come into terms with it and learn how to accept those feelings and eventually see life in a different view becoming a better person and more honest.
Hi there! I am super willing to line up a session in the future. I am on the East Coast, and have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for 5+ years. I do have a good amount of knowledge about Wildemount, but I'd like to think I'm pretty good about not breaking meta and stuff. I'm an English major, so my primary focus in all of life is storytelling, and that goes especially for tabletop games.
If I was to play in this session, I would want to play a quiet person with a rich backstory. Adventuring wouldn't have ever been their idea of a fulfilling life, but if they fall into it, they'd likely enjoy it. I have many character ideas, but they mostly fall into this broad category. Sort of like a Caleb or Veth situation.
I actually love watching other characters stories unfold more than my own, because there's so much more mystery and fun speculation, but I can absolutely play to a scene.
I'm really interested in jumping into Wildemount myself, so I hope we can talk on diacord soon! My user name is Skentrins#7845.
Looks like a fun game. I would love to join. I have limited experience with the Wildemount campaign setting but could review it if needed. As a history buff I tend to remember most everything I read so I won't read anything unless I need to to build a character. Was wondering how you played online? My discord is TheLostWind#7014
Character Idea
Kidnapped by a group of adventurer's at a young age Delarus knows nothing but the road. Taught magic by the party's warlock and taught to fight by the fighter he mixed the two into his own fighting style. Now he has been left alone after they failed to return for him. A bugbear alone with heavy martial training is a recipe for disaster and he knows it.
Looking forward to an rp heavy game and a solid story to join in telling.
Hey, I'd love to join a long-running campaign if you're still looking for players!
Haven't played in Wildemount before, but I've been playing D&D for about two years now. I've run two campaigns as a DM (a homebrew and an adapted module), but I'm also a player and really miss getting to build and play as a PC. My group at work just ended our campaign because our DM is having a kid, so I miss the weekly sessions. Really looking forward to getting deeper into some backstory and lore for both my character and others'—half the fun is learning about everyone in the party!
As for my character, I have one in mind that I'm happy to work with you on: Sunmus Evinter, aka Sunny, a satyr with wild magic who accidentally injured his fellows when he lost control one day. Now, he's seeking a way not to control the magic, which was a gift from the wild gods, but to embrace the chaos and learn how to shape it, how to work with it. Ashamed of his past and looking for a way to redeem himself and return home without fear of hurting others again, he portrays himself as the confident sorcerer he one day hopes to become. Until that time, he's going to travel and do some work on himself as both a person and a magic user.
Howdy I'm not sure if you all are done with looking for people or not but I am very interested in being in the campaign for the long run! I have never been a player in a game before and have only ever done one-shots DMing in college. So I suppose I know the game but have never partaken!
I watched the Vox Machina campaign as it aired although I fell out of the loop once Wildemount started. I have since then restarted watching the Wildemount campaign and am decently far into it although I can't say that I'm particularly experienced with the lore of it.
I have always been fascinated with the character concept of the descent into madness and more-so character's that have multiple personalities that change the thought process and perhaps the features of the character (e.g. Split, American Psycho, Fight Club), I am also interested in those tropes of extreme male friendships in literature and media that break and are volatile with deep-seated respect, love, and hate for each other (e.g. Dumbledore & Grindlewald, Guts & Griffith, Will Graham & Hannibal Lector). I hope that this is enough of an explanation!

Hi didn’t see if you found anyone yet but I am very interested, I have been trying to find a group to play with and have been interested in the wildemount setting if you still need someone I have two interesting characters I could bring just LMK
Hello, My name is Brent, I am 31. I am somewhat familiar with Wildemount. I sporadically listen to the podcast during my work commute. I am interested in playing a devotee of the Kord. He would be adopted and raised by parents of a different species to act largely as a brother to their true born son. He would be kind of a brute, but has three main goals: To discover who killed his adoptive parents and burned their home to the ground and locate his now missing adoptive brother. To find his birth parents and discover why he was abandoned. To acquire holy relics of Kord that have been hidden or lost across the continent and keep them safe.
Hello I would love to join the campaign, I'm a newish player with a bit of experience I am willing to wait no need to rush getting into a game right away. I know of Wildemount more so about the characters then the story it self I have watched the streams and the youtube videos but with my memory it kind of doesn't set in, I'm not a min/max type of player I make my characters how I see them including flaw and I am a active player but I can take the back seat when needed. I love story and exploration just as much as having a fun fight, I really want to get better at role playing since I'm still learning. As for who my character is at the core this is hard to explain in text what type of character I'm interested in, I guess I would just have to say my character would kind of be like me in some ways I would start slowly and as I grow and learn the other players I would be more out going. Hope this makes sense and thanks for taking the time to read my post.
European time here, so the scheduling works for me. I've not used Tabletop Simulator or Dicecloud before, but hey - how hard can it be right?
I've been playing D&D on and off for 30 years now, in recent times I have been DMing, but I would love the chance to focus on just one character again - and I would be happy to play any role that needs filling in the party.
Hey, been looking for a wildemount game for a long time.. got about a years worth of experience in ttrpg. If Ur still looking for another play hmu on discord SadKiwi#8500

I'm super interested in joining! I have a few years of (typical) on-and-off experience as a PC, and have DM'd a few times. I'm a writer and performer, so the role-play and story aspects have always been what most excites me about D&D and ttrpg in general. Shifting PC dynamics and group banter are what make the game so golden, so I try my best to be enthusiastic and open to put others at ease who might not feel comfortable enough yet to get really into RP and emotional character moments (improv background helps with this). I'm very much a team player, I'm not interested in being the Main CharacterTM or having a protagonist complex, I just absolutely love collaborative storytelling and seeing when shyer or less engaged players get really into it. I'm not really familiar with Wildemount at all, and would loooove to play in a new and unfamiliar realm :)
I like to play characters who have a hard time opening up, even if they're spunky and charismatic. Currently, I've been interested in playing someone running from deep shame, using the chaos of adventuring and magic to distract themselves. Not in an "I'm so edgy and dark" way, I think role-play requires a certain degree of irony or satire to remain fun and inclusive, but I love playing serious characters who don't understand the irony of their self-absorption. I love high-stakes social situations that simultaneously bring out the worst and the best of a PC's emotional interior. I'm also interested playing a fish-out-of-water scenario, e.g. a low-level thug who accidentally kills their wealthy warlock boss and usurps their role as a merchant-lord, having to fumble and lie their way through a suddenly glittering, golden social life.
The things I center most when creating a PC are:
-someone i can personally relate to on some level, even just in superficial ways
-someone very different from me, either in morality or social orientation (I'm very gregarious and adaptive, so playing shy/reserved/mastermindy characters is a fun challenge)
-a backstory that could easily imply a straightforward arc, but allows room for my character to grow and change in reaction to campaign events and especially the actions of other PCs
Mostly I just love to create REAL people that benefit greatly from their skills and history, but are often blinded by their own ego/emotions/preconceived notions about how their world works, and their place in it.
Please feel free to message me if you have any questions! My schedule is wide open.
Hello id like to join yur campaing. I am new player and play the game for the role playing part of it. I like to think of myself as a team player. But it dosen't have to be this kind of characters. I could make a whole new one. I'd like to have more info about the world so I could incorporate the new one into it. With the help from DM to make him part of lore or somthing like that.
My characters mostly are good, and like to be helpfull. I had one monk , who was whlo life in a temple, so he was naive, and good that said he made bad desisions becouse he bealived the world was like his temple, all good and helpfull. As a new player i won't say i am good at role play, but I do give my heart into it. A moraly conflicted character, with sad past would be nice. The one who gives in and does good deeds eaven if the said deed might cost him life, or would be smart to not do it. But couse his past, and he seeks redemption he feals he needs to do that. I don't like stupid characters, but will my character do stupid things. Well yes. Sometimes it would be lack of my game knowledge, sometimes the die will ruin my plans. It dependes, and this is why i love DnD. I don't have any knowledge about any of the settings, so wildemount is the same for me. That is why my characters mostly are new to the world, becouse I am as a player too.
