Hello, all! I'm looking for a virtual group to play since the quarantine has killed my usual game in its tracks and it doesn't look to be getting better in my area. DnD really helps my anxiety because it gives me something to focus on.
Though speaking of focus, I despise playing the traditional spellcasters like wizards and clerics where I have to prepare my spells the day before because I do not do well at it and it drives me batty (other people can work this class to amazing levels, I am not one of them). I do better at ranger, rogue, or spontaneous spellcasters like sorcerer, but I'm willing to try out a fighter like knight or something. Oh, other spoiler, I love dealing with the nobility and I'm a bit of a medieval nerd. I like drama and romance, though obviously some comedy to lighten things up is fine, but I don't like the dark side of fantasy as much. (I literally just picked out clips from Game of Thrones to watch because I just wanted the parts I liked, not the violence against women and other distasteful stuff.)
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (prefer discord, voice or chat is fine) Experience: No experience with 5e, but I've played multiple campaigns in 3.5 and Pathfinder and some that merge both (which is always an experience) Location/Timezone: Central Time in the U.S. Availability: I have two on-going things during the evenings and a day job. One floats around but is usually Thursday or Friday, and the other is 90% of the time on Sunday, but I can double up with it. So weekends are almost always free as are some weekday evenings. Preferred role: Player Game style: Casual but focused more on RP than being the absolute best insert-class-build-here or combat.
We have a long-term homebrew campaign we're about to start that's looking like it's going to be 50/50 role play and combat.
Must be 21+, It's a paid campaign at roughly $17.5 AUD / session 6pm Sunday evenings (GMT+10) I'm aware our timezone might be an issue for you, not sure of the time difference exactly though.
If you're keen and are willing feel free to DM me. :)
Add me on discord. We're starting a streamed game here soon :) All three of you are welcome! Just send me who you are on here so I can connect you all. I'll need answers to the following questions here in a DM too please!
1. What is your location? I don't need an exact location, but at least a state.
2. What day, Monday through Wednesday, works best for you?
3. Are you comfortable talking in front of people, and do you have any theater experience?
4. What kind of character prefer/want to play? Give as many details as you can, including personality and traits. (Please keep in mind that you may not be playing this exact character in this campaign.)
5. List some campaigns goals, both ones you've had in the past and ones you would want in the future and whether you successfully accomplished them or if you failed or changed them.
6. Has your character ever died (not just downed)? What happened, and what was the outcome?
7. What was the best part of your last campaign?
8. What is one thing you would change about your last DM?
9 What streams, youtube campaigns, or dnd related podcasts do you enjoy?
10. What are some of you favorite and least favorite homebrew rules?
My buddy Josh is Dming a Homebrew campaign soon that we hope to stream. (This means players will need a decent webcam/mic, no your airpods do not count.)
Players should be 18+ with 5e experience and located in the CST/EST (preferred) timezones, as we are in Pennsylvania.
We anticipate a following for this experience, so maturity and a drive to roleplay/get into character is a must. We do have a 10-question survey to be filled out to apply. Please send me a PM for more details. :)
Please be prepared to set aside a weeknight for this campaign. Obviously the more available you are, the better your chances as a group of 5-6 all have to meld schedules for this to work. Consistency is key with a stream.

If I fit your game, let me know!
Can I play a Aarakocra
Um, I'm looking for a game. I'm a player, not a DM. So I don't know?
On never mind I am looking for a game to.

@Flamex No worries, lol. If anything turns up, besides what is posted as looking, I'll let you know.
@Muzza I'm at GMT -6, so yeah, time is going to be a problem, but thank you so much for replying!
I took a look and got a little overwhelmed, it looks like it is going to be too involved even for me to keep up with. Thank you for the offer though!
