Group type: Online (Foundry VTT, D&D Beyond, and Beyond20 for the game. Discord server for voice chat and communication between sessions.)
Experience: Newer players welcome, but I prefer that you have some experience with the game. I love teaching the game, but I think it might disrupt the flow of an ongoing campaign.
Location/Timezone: USA, East Coast
Schedule: Weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM Eastern (Daylight Time, GMT-4)
Roles sought: Seeking one player to fill the slot of a player we lost due to a work-related scheduling conflict. We have four players currently (human cleric, tiefling monk, drow paladin/warlock, and half-elf wizard).
Game style: Sandbox-style (although the party has some pretty solid goals at the moment, so it may not feel quite as open until they've pursued them to their end), pretty good mix of RP, exploration, and combat. The campaign has thus far taken place entirely on a small island with a storied past and plenty of ruins to explore. The island’s inhabitants have begun struggling with the schemes of a hag coven that has until recently kept to themselves in the highlands. The PCs have interacted with a few of the hags and are gearing up to confront them in the near future.
DM Info: I'm Josh, a 35 year old dude who has been running games for over 20 years now. I tend to play "by the book" by default, but I love rewarding creative solutions with on-the-spot rulings that err on the side of the cool factor. I prefer sandbox-style games, in which I share information about the world and players decide what they want to explore. I may throw plot hooks left and right, but I encourage players to follow only the ones that interest them. Want to go investigate the creepy ruins north of town? Cool! Want to throw your lot in with one of the factions in an epic conflict? Awesome! Want to sail to the next island just because there's a forest there with a funny name and you want to see it? By all means, have at it!
