New player looking for a group

I’m 35 and a wannabe author so I love a good story and I’m kicking myself for not getting into DnD sooner. I love Critical Role and more character based stories than just heavy fighting. I’d be willing to play almost any class but I’m into the idea of playing a Monk.

Hi! Sorry I’m late replying but I just got the email saying there were replies to my post. I’m happy to team up to find a DM. I’m guessing we should have a general idea of when we would be able to assemble a group? Like Thursday nights at 7pm or something. I’m pretty available in evenings, I work early so I could play until around midnight at the very latest. Weekends should be okay for me nearly anytime.

I'm 24 used to play but in my old group we would never get off the lvl 1/2 because we couldn't decide which campaign to do.

I'm newish i know the basics but as i said never something too complex or advanced.

I live in Canada and because of covid i have at least a month off before college and work comes back.

Anytime available for now also have Insomnia so i used to pulling all nighters and weird schedules

I have 2 lvl 1 characters ready. Human/Paladin and Barbarian/Dragonborn

This is all great! Thanks for so many replies and interest. Anyone can feel free to add my discord. I think there is a solid group in this thread. I think it should be up to whoever DM's to decide how many players they want to run a campaign for, of course. SO how does everyone feel about a Discord chat sometime tomorrow, maybe around 1pm EST? We could discuss characters and try to get in touch with a DM and see what kind of group and schedule we can work out?
