Hello! We are a couple feminist nerds embarking on a podcast project that explores the strategies ttrpg players can employ to have more inclusive play, embrace transgressive themes, and engage in collective storytelling. We are looking for players with experience in ttrp gaming that are excited to bring their unique perspectives to the table, be generous storytellers with the whole party, and have an awesome time playing dope characters! Adult humans of any gender and socio-cultural identity are strongly encouraged to get in touch.
The setting is a homebrew world that includes a smattering of content from most of the WOTC 5e settings. We do not expect ‘in-voice’ role playing or actor-calibre scenes, but if that’s your style we’d love to play along. Our GM is an experienced D&D player who takes worldbuilding seriously, employs a good balance of rules knowledge and rule-of-cool to facilitate awesome stories and custom characters, and has a low tolerance for wangrod behaviour.
Requirements:
Willing to be voice recorded during gameplay for an edited podcast stream and record occasional conversations with your fellow players on podcast topics
Aged 18+
Experience playing ttrpgs, 5e preferred but not required
Able to play 3-4 hours with people on EST time zone (we’re in Canada)
Enthusiasm and commitment to exploring different strategies for making more inclusive and representative play, application of feminist critical theory to gaming, and engaging with your fellow players in collective storytelling.
If you are interested, direct message me on reddit [ u/svankatwyk ] with a brief description of yourself, your gaming experience, what excites you about joining us on this project, and whatever else you would like us to know!
