Digital 5E game, east coast US, meets weekly but times could vary based on need, experienced DM, new players, ranging in age from 11 to 50, using Zoom video/DnDBeyond/Roll20, light in maps and heavy in theater of the mind, laid back, focused on role over roll, character back stories built into the narrative, working to tell good stories and explore a slightly home brewed Sword Coast looking for a few more players to join. All ages, experience levels are welcome. Characters will start around Lv 2 or 3. Shoot me a message if Interested.
Quick edit with more detail; What I have planned is a home brew based on events that happen after the Lost Mines of Pendelvar. With the Wave Echo Cave found and reclaimed everyone expected things to quiet down and go back to normal in Phandalin but then it was discovered that the magic forge was pulling its power from something older and deeper beneath the earth. Not too long after, an entrance was found to vast intersecting dungeons fueled by powerful arcane and divine forces still unknown.
The half-orc governor of the tiny settlement decided this was the chance of a life time. Messages went out to all corners of the SwordCoast calling on adventurers and investors, scholars and bards to come forth and help explore the untapped potential for wealth and adventure. Once a sleepy mining village it’s now a quickly growing boom town well on its way to becoming a city....and a very weird one at that. The nature of its growth has infused the place with an almost carnival like aspect and with the governor so strongly promoting diversity and openness all sorts of creatures not usually common in Sword Coast cities are popping up.
The characters journey will be split between dungeon crawling, personal dealings in town and a slow brewing meta story combining both. Character creation is pretty open.
Oh and if it strikes you including a quick character pitch based on the above with your initial inquiry would be helpful!
I would be very interested in that depending on day and time. I am UK based, mid 40's and been playing since the mid 1980's. I would probably be looking to play a barbarian or a caster.
