Hey looking for a new player to join in with a current group of 4 players in a homebrew campaign. 

Both new players and experienced players are welcomed but would prefer someone with some experience 

We are currently doing this campaign via discord.

We are in New York State; we do either Tuesday's or Thursdays at 3:00 pm Est. 

This campaign does have roleplay, along with challenging combat.

Character name: Samuel Duke
Race: Tiefling (red and black)
Class: Monk

Backstory:

Samuel Duke was born in a thriving village hidden deep in the woods known as Red Haven. He was born Akmenos Mellech but would later change his name after leaving his village. Red Haven was a village founded by a monk named Rylo Ken who destroyed the monastery of The Red Hand after having killed all of its students. The Master Monk of the Monastery, known only as The Master of the Red Hand, later came to Red Haven and killed Rylo Ken. Out of spite The Red Hand decided to settle in Red Haven, taking Rylo’s former house and marrying his widow. He also decided to train all of the villagers in his way of the Red Hand, turning Rylo’s former village into the new heart of the monastery Rylo destroyed.  Samuel Duke, or Sam for short, is Rylo Ken’s great great grandson. Growing up in the village of Red Haven Sam was always bullied and looked down upon for sharing the blood of not only Rylo Ken but also of Demons. As he grew up he was taught the way of the Red Hand along with everyone else, despite all of his peers shunning him and encouraging him to just give up and go away. At the age of 17 he decided to finally try the test to become a fully recognized member of the Red Hand. When he was refused, Sam was furious and in his fury he demanded a Blood Duel from the Red Hand himself, who had kept his physical youth despite his old age. The Red Hand accepted his challenge and even offered him the monastery as a reward if he somehow defeated him. Sam attacked The Red Hand with all of his might. He threw every punch and kick that he knew but the Red Hand blocked and avoided him easily. Once Sam had tired himself out, The Red Hand thrust his open palm into Sam’s chest, breaking his ribs and momentarily stopping his heart. Sam was defeated and remained unconscious for two days. After he awoke he found that his body had been carried into the woods and left to die. He was found by a beautiful old woman, who nursed him to back to health using potions and tonics. The beautiful woman named herself as Fae Fae. She offered Sam a deal that would be profitable for both of them, but obscenely cruel to the villagers of Red Haven. Sam couldn’t resist and he took the deal. Red Haven along with the Red Hand and most of his students were magically enslaved by Fae Fae who had them build and work her new Spell Factory. Samuel Duke walked into the wide open world with a new bag of gold and a potion. Sam travels from town to town, committing crimes to survive and earning contacts in the criminal underworld. 3 years after he left Red Haven, a former student of the Red Hand tracks him down and tries to kill him. At the time Sam had been drinking with a group of veteran fighters  he had just met. They were recruiting before they left to face a dragon and Sam had caught their eye. When the Red Hands Student attacked him, the veteran fighters protected him and scared the student away. Since then, Sam has been traveling with them, helping them on their quests.

Hi there!

If there is still a spot left I'd love to join! I've played D&D for almost 2 years now and am looking for a new group.
