New-ish GM looking for players to explore a homebrew world - [LGBTQA+ friendly] - [CET/GMT+1/+2]

Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Online (mostly Discord but open to others)
Experience: New-ish and still learning
Location/Timezone: Germany CET (GMT +1/+2 depending on Winter- or Summertime)
Availability: Weekdays and weekends during the evening - roughly after 6pm (though it may need to be clarified some days due to work and such)
Preferred role: DM
Game style: Looking for a group that is interested to see their characters grow into their own through roleplay and combat.

Hey peeps, let me tell you a little about myself - I'm a 33-year old dreamer with a head full of ideas that need to be explored. I'm looking for people who are interested in building up a regular group that meets about every two or three weeks (but that's something to be talked about later on). I've been playing RPGs for years - computer, console, textbased - and only recently (i.e. in the last two years) fell into the hole that is Dungeons and Dragons. I'm currently alternating with another DM in a small group that meets about once a month and have one online group that meets whenever we manage to somehow find the time (timezones are fun.). In the group where we alternate, we both run different games, though - DnD and DsA. Both, German and English, are possible for the game.

I'm a storyteller by heart and I want people to enjoy themselves, though I'm certainly not perfect and still learning the ropes myself. My campaign is homebrewed and I can adapt it fairly easily to the way people play. If you would rather do a bit more dungeon crawling or want to explore the country with their big capital cities or just want to sit by the fire-side somewhere after freeing a village from bandits - I can adapt. If you already have a character that you would like to play - great! Let me know what you've been thinking about and I'll see how we can implement it into the world. - You shape the world around you.

My main goal is for us all to have fun and - hopefully - make new friends along the way.

This campaign sounds really fun! I’ve been playing for just under a year, but I’m still learning. I am only 13 though, so I don’t know how you feel about younger players. Do you use Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds as tabletop, or just Discord? 

I myself have a Fantasy Ground Unity standard account and it looks very promising as a tabletop for online roleplaying.

I haven't used either as of yet, though I did look into them - Roll20 and Fantasy Ground Unity. Usually I just use Discord with screensharing when it comes to the maps. Though I'm willing to dive a little deeper into both to see which one might be the most helpful.

In the near future I will try to DM for family and friends and because of the C-situation, I checked especially Fantasy Grounds Unity, to be prepared for playing this game online, if the C-situation continues.

I have not dived deeper as of yet, but what I have experienced so far is, that it helps alot and makes being a DM way easier for online gaming.

There is of course the price, because with a standard license you can not host a game for participants with only the demo version. 

But if all would have the standard version for 39 $ lifetime license, which I have, it will not be a problem (of couse dependend of the moneysituation of each player)

That sounds promising! If this group goes as planned, I'll probably invest a little more, too. Just - not quite so soon.
