LFP Discord Play-by-Post RP-Heavy Frostmaiden CT

Group type: Online Play by Post on Discord

DM Experience: A few years

Location/Timezone: I’m in CT. Time zones within 2 hours of CT are preferred.

Schedule: Flexible, but players must make at least three thoughtful posts per day. If something comes up, just let us know when you can. I’ll be posting most actively 5:00-9:00 PM CT.

Roles sought: 2-3 players only. We have 3 already (1 F, 2 M). Ages 20+ preferred. New players who love to write preferred.

Game style: This is an RP-heavy campaign with combat and wilderness survival. We will start at level 1 and play through Rime of the Frostmaiden, an icy horror adventure.

The ideal player will be interested in helping others’ characters shine and receiving that same treatment. They will have enough free time to commit to a long campaign and be interested in themes of survival and horror. They will be invested in exploring character psychology and the external fantasy world. No lone wolves or traitors to the party. Your character MUST have opinions during group decisions. They absolutely cannot just be along for the ride.

I use some rules from Dungeon World to make the game more tense and action-packed. Players should be open to these minimal homebrew rules. (The main difference is that if you roll low but succeed, then success comes at a cost.)

I will never kill your PC unless you want that risk.

We will use Discord for all posts.

Hey, I would be interested, though I have never played by post before. I am interested in trying. I work a very wild night shift schedule, so being able to work on posts and come back to them as able would work outstanding for me! I can certainly dedicate almost every day for a few posts! I am Graham, Age 28, EST. I have about 2 years of experience and about 4 or so solid campaigns, and a few fragmented ones.

So don’t meet the criteria for time zone as I am GMT but I can handle the writing and helping other character’s side of things - I currently DM 2 homebrew campaigns both narrative heavy so helping other characters by writing more than I need to is basically my jam!
