I'm looking/interested in a game less revolved around the mechanics of the game and more about a story to tell.
A little background on me: I've been playing DnD only for about a year or so, but I've been roleplaying through various formats for about a decade now. (Though, if you really want to go back, I've been doing this sorta thing since I was 7. Things all in perspective, anyways!)
I've got three characters I kinda wanna bop around with on the chance that familial relationships are something interesting worth putting into a game. A trio of Elves, all siblings. A sassy, but gentle Wizard; a cynical, always annoyed Rogue; and a cheery, and energy-bound Ranger.
If anyone has a game open and/or wants to get a group together to find a DM together, I'm willing to chat. Hit me up!
If you're looking for a Play by Post game, the PBP section of the forums infrequently has new games running or openings in old ones. A surprising amount of them focus more on story rather than on mechanics. I run my one game like that for instance. I have no openings in it for now, but if you check every day, you'll usually find one. There's also other places like Roll20, and Discord, but those tend to be more live chat oriented.
Note that for Play by Post at least, daily posting is really helpful. I've had games completely stall for a week or more just due to ONE person not posting, and had players have to quit due to not being able to post frequently enough.
Hello! I am Roman, Russian guy who wants to practice his English skills during playing the game! My English level is about Intermediate and I really wanna join to English speaking party! I suppose that at the beginning it will be some difficult to hold the temp, but I am ready to do my best!)))
I have been playing not no much - less than one year, but I have started trying myself as a GM and it looks not so bad. Now I am looking for a party, but I could drive my own games in English if there are interested ones.
As a player I like play with bright descriptions and colorful actions instead of thoroughly following the rules. DnD is a way to spend your time in interesting way. Let it stay itself.
As a GM I prefer to let players try to do what they want instead of going in a strict direction. Within reasonable limits =)
Let's be surprised and surprise each other! =)
