So when I decided that I wanted to start playing D&D, I found that most DM's were already running established campaigns and they weren't accepting new players to join those campaigns. I believe this turns away many potential players when their curiosity is piqued by the idea of trying the game and maybe becoming a lifelong player.
So, in an effort to include everyone that wants to play, I have created a series of short campaigns that can run anywhere from an evening session after work, or up to a month long micro-campain that takes several sessions to complete. These campaigns are not of the "West Marches" variety. They have been designed to showcase many of the deeper aspects of game's play, so that new players can get a feel for how the heart of the game plays, and keeps veterans interested by allowing them to try out some of the legendary items that might take them months or even years to acquire. I have pre-made characters ready for use, although if you'd like to create your own character from scratch, I offer a tutorial that will help you through this process. New characters do not start these mini-campaigns at level 1. Depending on the session, new characters can roll for their level in tiers like level 3-5, 5-7, 8-10, etc, because the depth of the game cannot be really understood with a lvl 1 character.
So if you are in the Orange County, CA area and you would like to play my campaigns, send me a message and I'll reply letting you know when and where I'm running my next game. There are several gaming storefronts in the area that allow players to come and play in their stores for free.
Everyone is invited, however if you are under the age of 18, you'll be required to provide proof of your parent's or gaurdian's permission. Games will be played in public spaces and anyone playing will be required to be respectful of other players at the table.
So far one newbie has contacted me expressing interest, so I’m going to give this about a week to gather more interested persons and then post a schedule of when and where games will offered for play.
I’m in HB and the store that we’ll play at is in Foutain Valley. I’m working out which day of the week it will be this week, so I’ll get back to you in a couple of days to let you know the details.
Ok, the place so wanted to host at is at capacity already and not accepting new players. So the other place so found is called Brookhurst Hobbies in Garden Grove. They have a game space next to their store and they allow players to come and play on Thursday and Friday nights anytime between 6pm to midnight.
However they charge $3.00 per person to use that space.
So if you are interested, I would like to schedule next (Oct 26th) Thursday night at 7pm.
Send me a PM to let me know that you plan to come.

I'm interested in this. I live in HB and am looking for a way to get back into D&D. I haven't played in 30 years or so.
