Character Name: Sainen
Character Race: Wood Elf
Character Class: (Archery Fighting Style with Hunter Archetype) Ranger or (Way of the Open Hand) Monk
Character Background: Outlander
Backstory: Sainen, like most wood elves, grew up a hunter-gather. One day, upon returning from a hunt, he found his nomadic encampment had been raided and massacred by bandits. He lost it that day and retaliated against those very bandits being driven only by hatred and revenge.
Amidst the chaos and havoc of retaliation and revenge, innocent life had been taken and he could not forgive himself. The realization of what had happened was too much to bear and he began seeking atonement for his sins.
Play style: I'm somewhat casual, and may get clumsy with rules and mechanics on occasion. I love bringing funny voices to the table. I may occasionally have to miss a session (yes even on a biweekly schedule) to accommodate birthdays or other important events.
D&D Experience: I have limited play experience in 5e, but I am rather familiar with the rules/mechanics.
Play Style: I enjoy both RP and combat. RP is probably my favorite part of D&D as I enjoy working with other characters to tell a shared story. I'm open to playing any class/race and would love to work with the DM to find what would fit best with the group.
D&D Experience: I played a little of the original sets way back when I was a kid, and have about five years experience playing 5E. I've played multiple character builds and party roles.
Play Style: I'd have to say I'm more comfortable in combat than in pure RP, but I enjoy a good mix of both. My characters are generally "the good guy" as opposed to the CN Rogue who tries to pocket some of every loot haul before the rest of the party sees it, that sort of thing. I also try to make sure that my significant character choices have a story justification, not just a mechanical one. I believe in making effective characters, but ones who aren't just bags of stats. If I had to pick a favorite class it'd be Warlock, but I'm flexible when it comes to what I play.
Experience: I've been playing on and off for about 20 years, starting with creating roleplaying games with my cousins and a deck of cards. Mostly played 3.5e through college, then played 5e for the last 4 years or so.
Play style: I'm up for combat, exploration, or RP. I have a lot of character ideas - seriously...too many - so I can pick one to fit into any group. I've been DMing almost exclusively for a few years now, so I'm dying to pick a character and roll some dice. I recently built a techno-ranger (Battlemaster Artificer with a bow) who suffered from allergies as a kid and used technology to overcome it and become the ranger he always wanted to be. Also have a wizard, rogue, a few clerics, and (of course) several fighters at the ready. I'm an amateur author as well, so I am very big on lore and enjoy delving into my character's story and its interactions with the world the DM creates.
Experience: I only have been playing DND 5e for less than a year, but I love writing and mythology(I am also a thespian don't know if that helps). I've mostly played with new players but I would like to play with more experienced players.
Play Style: I like a balance of RP and combat, depending on what your story is, I can do more serious rp or more light. One of my favorite things is to solve mysteries and/or puzzles in game. Other than that, I am very open, flexible and open for suggestions.
Hello! I have played 3 mini campaigns. So still fairly new. Someone from each meet up always changes last minute so we kind of stopped. The time frame is perfect for me. My only experience is playing as a Druid but I am open to any class. For play style, I am not really into murder hobo (kill/loot everything) I do like to be creative in seeing ways to solve the problems the DM throws. I would be happy to set up a zoom call to speak more so we could see if we think it would be a good fit.
My experience is with AD&D and 5e. Currently I am in a small group with family members. We are wrapping up The Lost Mines of Phandelver with home brewed gestalt characters, since we only have two players and a DM. My character is an Air Genasi Eldritch Knight Fighter, Rogue Arcane Tricker, Wizard. It’s an interesting combination. We currently play on Fanasty Grounds and Discord, but I really love tabletop and rolling my metal dice.
I have several other characters that I can play as well. I enjoy a balance of RP and combat. I like creative thinking and solving mysteries.
Thank you for all of that replied. This week's session is now full but based on thoughtful responses we may put together a separate session to try to accommodate more. Will reach out when we get that scheduled.

(sadface) I'm still interested, so if another opening (saturday or sunday) opens up I'm up for rolling some math rocks.
You're welcome, please let me know if you have any openings!
