Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Moderate Role Play, no D&D needed, familiarity with Discord a plus Location/Timezone: Eastern but Online so can accommodate others Schedule: Currently Sundays but will change. Roles sought: Players Game style: More RP than Hack and Slash but will support many styles; group play is the most important. Game World: Ravenloft Inspired Theme: Gothic Fantasy. Horror is a part of the theme; gore is not.
I'm a long time DnD player (far enough back that I can explain THAC0) and I'm a newer streamer (mostly streaming Red Dead Online). I've wanted to play DnD with some fellow streamers and this has me working on a DND Series.
The game is currently built around 3-4 session episodes, each in a stand alone mini-series. The players will be given a chance to change at the end of each mini-series, though some may stay from story to story. Rather than trying to build a large sprawling campaign, or risking burn out on session 14, I want to tell shorter stories that have a clear start, middle and end. Eventually, and if there is interest, we may tackle bigger tales and branch out into a full campaign such as Curse of Strahd or DragonHeist or similar stories.
The stories will be set in a world based on Ravenloft. There will not be a set world map so that we are not limited by geography when telling our stories. Players are encouraged to contribute equally to the story telling experience and to the feel of Gothic Fantasy.
That sounds really fun! I already have a discord and characters set up. I'm relatively new to DnD but want to get back into it. My Discord is YourPalCooper#1076 if the spot is still open.
I'm extremely interested! I have a newly made character that might fit your setting perfectly. My discord is Eddyyyeah#8729; please reach out if there is still some availability!
umm can I join and can you tell me the time date and time zone and if age a problem this is my discord creative 62#5325
Well.. most of us are in our 30's or 40's. I think our youngest is late 20's. I'm not anti young adults but I'm not sure if you'll feel fully comfortable. You absolutely have to be over 18 though to be considered; that's a hard limit.
Ooh this sounds delightful! I like the idea of smaller adventures and the chance to see more characters.
I could do Sundays; I work 2-6pst on Sundays, so before or after that would work for me if that's plausible.
But! I'm Altamirage. (: I've been playing ttrpgs (mostly dnd) for almost 15 years, and DMing for 7 or 8? I'm a nonbinary artist. I love rp focused games, and I have a habit of playing in-character to a fault. 👌
For this setting, I have a handful of characters that would work!! My ex-cultist warlock/wizard orc who only whispers is a joy. I have a prissy rich water genasi girl from a prominent wizard family who dropped out of wizard school to be a necromancer. A cleric and paladin from the same temple of Kelemvor, raised to be guards of Things Meant To Stay Dead. And more but I'll stop there, haha.
My discord is altamirage#4261! Hit me up if you're interested!
I am a player looking for one and this is extremely interesting 24 with RP experience, about a year of DnD experience, and very familiar with discord. Shino#2738 is my tag.
Experience: About 5-ish years off and on as Player and DM Location/Timezone: EST Availability: Available most Sunday afternoon/evenings
Saw the listing and am VERY interested in joining. I agree that most groups tend to burnout on a character, so your take on splitting everything into mini-sodes is great. I'm decent at RP and decently familiar with Discord/Roll20. Send me a message in Private if you're interested in talking.
The first "Book" in the campaign is more or less filled. So here's what that means:
A) We're full up on players at least until the first week of December for the "main stream". Right now that's my focus: Getting the hang of streaming a game, keeping it interesting, keeping all 4 players engaged, etc.
B) It is possible I'll run a second night of either a different Mini Series or running the same adventure concurrently. The problem with the second option is that if you're on a different night you can't watch/ hang out with/ talk about the first night. I don't believe in "games on rails" but I do plan my decision points and my 'reveals'. So that's a balancing act.
C) Anyone is welcome to join the discord community to chat about DnD and other gaming. There is a survey to fill out in the Scheduling channel that lets me see who's available when to help plan games around schedules.
This all sounds perfect. Please contact me at Discord Hoss#8410 to let me know if I can join and if there are any spots available now or in the near future.

Hi there! I'm interested, and Sundays are right in my wheelhouse!
I have a warlock that I've been itching to play for a while now, and He would fit very well in a gothic theme.
I have pretty good experience with Discord, DND5e rules, RP, Roll20, so I might be a help there as well.
If this sounds interesting, my discord is Jaybag#9177 hopefully we can chat a little more about it!
ok im really young so thanks for telling me i cant join cuz of my my age

Hey all, quick update:

C) Anyone is welcome to join the discord community to chat about DnD and other gaming. There is a survey to fill out in the Scheduling channel that lets me see who's available when to help plan games around schedules.
Thank you for your support thus far.
