New Australian player looking for a group

I'm a brand new player looking to find a group (preferably discord based) willing to show me the ropes, and help me through my first ever campaign. I've only ever watched podcasts, but I have a character I'd really like to use. If anyone has an open place in a simple and tolerant campaign group, i' really like to join!! I am Australian, so timezones may be a bit hard to work around. I hope I can find a group willing to work around that.
