Hey, so, I guess I am not even trying to be a player anymore. Huh.
I'm based, currently, out of Halifax, Canada (-4 GMT) and I'm looking to run a game. If that sounds vague, I haven't really arrived on the particulars. I'd love to run a hardcover as I have invested way too much money in them and my local friends prefer homebrewed content. Na ja. I'll list the content I have below.
I also have a shiny ultimate copy of Fantasy Grounds Unity, so... shiny.
I wouldn't want to run Saturdays (I have prior engagements most weeks.) Pretty much any other day would be fine, but I guess I prefer a weekday over Friday-Sunday. (Let's say Wednesday evening as a rough suggestion.)
In terms of GMing, I definitely appreciate roleplayers. I've been experimenting with techniques to spice up combat, but all in all, I prefer the combat to be meaningful to the plot rather than "Oh, we're approaching the end of our time, so roll initiative."
Adventures I own:
Descent into Avernus, Curse of Strahd, The Essentials adventures, Lost Mines, Ghosts of Saltmarch, Dragonheist, Dungeon of the Mad Mage and Rime of the Frost Maiden. And for some sick reason not completely revealed to me, maybe I would even run something homebrewed. Maybe.
I’m down. New player here looking to play. I have a basic concept of the rule but am willing to learn. I have DMd a few sessions with the wife and kids in the Dragon of Icespire Peak module. Looking for a Monday or Tuesday game starting after 5:30 pm cst.
Hello, I would be very interested in doing a campaign since I do have Wednesday free and basically no life due to the pandemic. I am in central time. I haven't used roll20 or fantasy grounds which I hope isn't an issue as I learn.
Hello, I'd be up for this. I'm GMT, but as I'm free early evenings (apart from Tuesday and Friday), I think this could really work for me. Could also do any time weekends. I love RP heavy games which shape around the characters, (although I am a fan of fights too, so can be relied upon to enjoy doing that when we need to).
Very enthusiastic, would ideally like to play my arcane trickster rogue/trickster cleric mashup. Any spots?
I'm interested, how would this be hosted, and would voice be required?
I'm okay with either. I think it would have to be all text or all voice, because text is slower and would get "out of sync" with the action. Fantasy Grounds has a pretty great text engine. There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

I mostly use it as a table top for local games, but it's not difficult for players to learn and, no it's alright. If we have completely new players to D&D, learning how Fantasy Grounds works (different than Roll20) is much easier. You can even download a demo for free (which is the client you need to connect anyhow) and watch a youtube video or two and you should be set.
hi ! i'm interested. i'm GMT +1 and am free during weekdays evening, not weekends tho.
my discord is @Rose9#7626
Might be an issue for timing. I used to live in Europe last year and playing +5 hours ahead of the rest of of the people meant really late hours.
I'll set up a discord and we can use it for planning and what not. I'm willing to do some planning via consensus, but I don't think I will run a game for 10 people-- but I suspect that not all of us will have compatible schedules/desired games.
Because some of you have private Discords, here's a link.

Hmm, as this is probably going to feature players quite new to D&D, I want to start at level 1 to tutorialise them in how to play their characters. That character sounds like they're at least level 4, maybe 6 (I don't remember how clerics get their subclass). So there could be a power imbalance. If you wanted to play the same character "from level 1" and use the character's current stats as a blueprint, that would be fine. But I don't know what the campaign is or who the party is (or even who the players will be.) Ideally, I'd say go for it.
Hey Verenti, her first class is rogue, which I haven't played yet, so happy to take that right from Level 1 and learn with everyone else. She's on DnDBeyond, so I can easily do that. Would love to be in if I can.
Hey - I'm based in the UK, but would love to get involved if it were possible. I'm a very keen new player who dabbled once or twice almost 30 years ago, but never found a group that lasted more than one session. Have the core rule books and have mostly rolled a Half-Elf Ranger (never played though), but willing to start over with a new character if you'd prefer. Discord is The_Danger_Mouse#1083. Would love to get involved! :)
So, at this point, there are ... at least 11 people expressing opinions. So by all means join the discord, but I think six PCs and slots will be made available based on when people expressed interest.

No worries about being new. I've been dming for a while and I've guided more than a few new players through adventures.

how do i change my username?
I am interested wanting to attempt my first game if possible
I'd be interested if your still looking for people to start a campaign. Will this be voice or text based?
