Seeking Group for Online Game

Location/Timezone: Central Time
Availability: Evenings during the week (after 7pm), more flexible on weekends. 
Preferred role: Player (Can DM, but have never been too confident about it)
Game style: Prefer a skill focused character, enjoy playing blend of combat and story/plot, flexible on RP depending on the group. 

Howdy! I'm looking to (hopefully) join a game. I haven't played more than a few times in recent years and am hoping to get back into things. The old group I used to play with grew apart, so playing got put on the back-burner for a while. I'm 33 and do work a full time job, but have found more free time in my evenings and would enjoy getting into a campaign. One shots can be fun, but there is something nice about taking characters on an arc through a module or homebrew. Be it a dungeon crawl or continent spanning trek, so long as there are multiple sessions and a chance for the characters to grow then I'm happy. I do tend to downplay my RP (not so much for voices, etc), but that's a bit of self-consciousness on my part and I can get over it with the right character/party. Additionally, I'm happy to go through any interview/vetting process as I know randoms don't always make for the best party members. I am good with Discord/Roll20 and am open to other methods of play.
