Hello, I'm Taonos (18 years old), I'm going to be hosting the official starter quest: Lost Mine of Phandelver. I'm mainly looking for players who are new to the game and need help learning how to play. Experienced players are welcome as well. I am not some super-experienced veteran Dungeon Master, but I'm the Dungeon Master for my real life friend group and I feel that I can do a decent job. We're going to be playing via text chat on a Discord server that I've set up. There will be no mics or audio, text and images only. In my experience, playing through text actually allows me to better convey what I want to say, mostly because I'm better at typing than I am at talking.
I'll help you get setup with the Basic Rules and walk you through character creation. I believe the best way to learn is through actually playing, so it's ok if you don't understand the rules at first.
If you want to join, simply post below! I'll contact you with a link to the Discord server. We will discuss schedules, talk about characters, go over rules, and get ready to play. We'll actually start when we have about 5 players.
Timezone: Central Standard Time (US)
Approximate Start Times: I'm pretty flexible with times for the weekends, but on weekdays I can only play during the afternoon around 3pm to 11pm.
I'll totally play with your party, if you'll have me! I've gone through most of Lost Mines of Phandelver with my IRL group, but we haven't played in almost a year and I've been itching for some D&D. I've never played D&D online before, but I'm totally willing to give it a try! I recently made a character (a deaf (yes, deaf, I like to challenge myself, but we can change that if you'd prefer not to deal with it) Half-Elf Bard named Faeyra) but if you'd like to review it and change anything, that's perfectly fine (we used the pre-made characters when I played IRL, so I don't have any experience building a character). I also really like to RP in-game, and like to bring interesting ideas or flavors to groups (hence the whole deaf thing).
I am interested in joining your campaign. I started playing D&D over play-by-post at rpgcrossing site. I've been using this dndbeyond site for the resource information. However, I have not joined any campaign here. I guess, I am still considered as new, but has some familiarity of D&D. Depending on your schedule, I would like to join.

I'll gladly accept you into the party (which currently has no one in it). Playing as a deaf person sounds really interesting, and I'm sure it'll bring some nice flavor to the game. I'll be sending you a private message with the Discord link.

I'll be sending you a private message with the link to the Discord server. Your mention of a schedule reminded me to post timezone information on the original post, so check that out for info on schedule.
I would love to join. I just started and have been having trouble finding a group so this sounds like the perfect thing to help me learn the ropes of the game.
