New to the world of D&D

Hello, I am really new to the world of D&D and I would love to start playing. I am 24 years old and love to roleplay and the idea of creating characters and going on adventures. I would love if who I am playing with are some new but some veteran so I can be taught how to play along the way. I would mainly play female characters. I don't mind mature themes like 18+ but there are some lines will need to be in placed doe some mature themes in which will trigger past trauma. so I and the dm will need to discuss this beforehand. hit me up if you if interested.
