Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Newish (1 year) Location/Timezone: East Coast Availability: I'm pretty much free on fridays and sundays (barring extreme circumstance) Preferred role: Player Game style: Looking for new experiences. I really find that combat is what I mostly enjoy, but I'd like to get better at role-play. Mostly I'd like to try an open-ended campaign, which is to say something not pre-written.
I have a few characters I'd like to try (as do many of you I would assume):
Some examples:
A lizardfolk with a nasty scar along one side of his face. He seems simple-minded, and generally happy to have found people accepting of him and what he is. There is something about him though... Occasionally sneaking about at night, if you listen you might hear him speaking to someone.
A firbolg (another version of the character is a kalashtar) warrior searches for an ancient weapon to help save his people; but this weapon might be more dangerous than he assumes. (not actually a physical weapon)
A loxodon former-pirate-turned-merchant has had his airship stolen, along with the notes of his investigation into the location of his family. (Admittedly, this one I think would mostly just be fun to roleplay, but also I kinda wanted to make a loxodon rogue)
An envoy from the court of Dreams who searches for a series of artifacts to appease her brother, the embodiment of nightmare, while also seeking a way to get out from under his thumb.
A woman who goes only by the name "Lady". She is outwardly a very proper, conservative woman, though she tends to surround herself with brigands and highwaymen. She carries a secret that is potentially dangerous, not just to the party, but to everyone she meets.
As well as others.
I do, however, have an issue. I have a medical problem which requires some maintenance. It's nothing serious, but I will have to walk my dog twice during the sessions. It shouldn't interfere, as I have played using D&D beyond's website on my phone for about 8 months now, (sending screen captures through discord when necessary for rolls) but it may 1) slow things down a tad during this time, and 2) require accommodations as far as knowledge of battlemaps are concerned.
If either of these are an issue, no worries, thank you for your interest.
