Me and my friends are veteran players of D&D and have been playing for many years and want to get a new game and running. We are looking to put together a solid group of fun, friendly people to build a D&D group around. We want to create a fun gaming environment to really enjoy this game. All kinds of people and experiences are welcome! We have a number of homebrew an official campaigns we've been working on, but we're very open to your own campaign ideas if you have something you'd rather play. We have purchased, and will be making available, pretty much all of the source books available on D&D Beyond. We enjoy a mix of Combat and Role Playing, and generally enjoy a bit more lighter tone, but we can delve into more serious / darker tones depending on how the story plays out.
A couple of things to keep in mind: - We plan to use both voice and video, most likely using discord, to keep everyone engaged as much as possible seeing as we can't play in person these days. - Must be LGBTQ+ friendly! Period. - Prefer 18+, in addition to the possibility of dealing with mature and NSFW themes and situations, we prefer to play with more mature people, especially those who can commit to game times. - We plan to speak with everyone to make sure that you fit with the vibe of the entire group, we want to ensure that everyone will have a good time!
Lastly, We still haven't decided on a DM, so if you enjoy being a DM, or want to give it a try, we would be doubly interested in hearing from you, and we'd be more then happy to help out with world building or any other DM assistance you might need.
If you are interested in joining us, please send me a message here, or reply to this thread so I can message you, prior to giving out our discord server info.
Hey there! What day/time were you thinking of playing?
We'll be discussing preferred times for everyone to play together when the time comes, but at the moment we'd prefer to play on Weekends, ideally once a week.
I guess I should open up, and reveal I'm also apart of the group, and helper to set things up.
I'm short on words in general and prefer face to face gaming, but in our world, today that is just an unrealistic expectation of finding a good group. So my social awkwardness, dyslexia, have to be put on hold if we are to be able to play D&D.
So to further get the ball rolling feel free to message me here, although I feel a certain amount of information should be given. Let us know who you are, ie preferred names, gender, available game times, willingness to DM (Both KasaiRuby and I are experienced as DMs, and both of us prefer to play this time around, I want to try a Gunslinger build). So to get this ball started:
Me:
Rachel aka GothicShark, Transgender Woman, most hours and days as I'm a writer (I know mature writer on the spectrum with dyslexia hahaha, painful at times), DMing only if no other option available. I do have campaign settings I can use, as I prefer to avoid official settings when DMing. Other than that, I'm also around 50years old and play Final Fantasy 14.
No need to put all this information out publically, but in your direct messages to us, please try and give at least this much. We already got the Discord server up and running, so we can start invites, but as the optimal party size is 4 to 5, we want to limit down to around that much including DM/GM.

(Hello, yes we can still write. However, we are primarily English speakers. If it wasn't for Google-Translate, I would have no idea what you said.)
So I'll be keeping this page open all day as I try and figure out my next chapter in my novel while rewriting a short story I wrote earlier this year to fit it into my novel.
Would be interested in discussing this further. I have two friends with whom I’ve been adventuring the past couple of years, and we’re currently searching for a new journey and story to really sink our teeth into. All working adults who play on the weekends. Looking for a mature, welcoming, and fun atmosphere.

Please tell us about yourself, and if possible your other adventuring partners should also give us a reply. We would like to have more information as we do this process.
Id be interested in joining, thats if you dont mind a complete novice!
Novice is fine, although let us know a bit about yourself, and times available. Do be aware we are Pacific Time, however, we are willing to take some time adjustments for the group.

Coolio, well my name is Josh and I'm from the UK, specifically Scotland. I've never played DnD properly, just once with my tour friends and it was fantastic. I literally made my first character today! I can guarantee you I will get the rules wrong and mess up the maths sometimes, so people who can be patient and correct me are a huge plus! I'm available most evenings.

Cool, Josh, so I see no issues from our end, but I see a glaring issue for you, something I learned from calling my Grandmother as a child. She was in Glasgow, my mom raised me here in Los Angeles. Due to the time zones, we had to call first thing in the morning to talk to her in the evening. Which is to say, it's 2 pm here in Los Angeles and 10 pm in Scotland. If we start a game say at 5 pm here in Los Angeles, 6 pm Mountain, 7 pm Central, 8 pm Eastern, it will be 3 am Greenwich Mean. A typical session can go anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, with epic sessions being up to 5 hours (personally ran an 8 hour session more than once.) So would you be fin going from 3 am to 7 am? if so we have no issues with you joining.

Side note, yes I'm a dual national with the UK, moms Scottish, which begs the question if Scotland gains independence, would my UK citizenship transfer to Scottish? Would I suddenly become triple national? Important questions.
I go by Logix online, so if you like that then that's great. If not, we can discuss names. I'm a dude, ace, from Texas, and I just super want to play d&d. I've made and remade hundreds of character sheets, and can comfortably bang out a complete character with backstories and motivations in around half an hour. I, however, am super terrible at making friends and the coronas haven't made that any easier; thusly I'm turning to the internet to hopefully find an outlet for at least one of these.
I work full time, so I'm generally only available after 6p CST on weekdays. I'm fully available on weekends, at any time. I don't miss sessions, I know most of the rules by rote, and I'll do my super very best to not lawyer anyone unless they give consent lol.
I prefer sorcerers, which is super ironic given my low IRL charisma, but I will play literally anything if given the chance. I've never DM'd, and have spent several hundred hours attempting to come up with some semblance of DM skills to almost no avail. Real good at the rules, just no creativity.
"But Logix, if you have no creativity, how do you have so many characters?!" you might ask. Great question! I have no idea!
I generate characters via a series of rollable tables macro'd together to a single button that spits out a character outline with a single button press, and then populate a character sheet with relevant information for reference during play, starting spells/equipment and then procedurally generate the backstory given the variables therein. Is this creativity? I've been told both yes and no, and thusly have no idea.

I can't imagine why anyone would take issue with your name being Logix, unless it's a trademark. Then the trademark holder might have something to say... maybe. :/ Also having social anxiety issues myself I totally get the difficulties in making friends online, or in person. Also having altism* with the tools given isn't hard to imagine, designing a story that is completely open and can survive being wrecked by players is much harder and totally a skill not many have.
*altism - the condition to make as many characters as a game system allows, in as many different possible combinations. I have many alts in World of Fantasy Online** I have altism.
**World of Fantasy Online- the most generic MMORPG name I could think of.
We're already starting to invite folks over to our discord for chats and interviews, still time for anyone interested in joining up, especially potential DMs

Hey, if it is still possible i would love to join this D&D group. I am fairly new to D&D and have not played recently.
Please tell us about yourself, and if possible your other adventuring partners should also give us a reply. We would like to have more information as we do this process.

New, or lacking in experience has never been an issue. Although please tell us about yourself some more, also let us know your preferred playtimes.
