Hello and welcome! I am running a campaign set in my own homebrew realm that I’ve built up to include the lovely but disjointed 3 edition adventure path, stitching the disparate pieces into a cohesive adventure that takes the players from lowly beginnings to the lofty heights of legend within the Realm. Some may recognize various pieces (since the Sunless Citadel was rebuilt in 5 edition’s Tales book, and the other two are probably well known in today’s D&D environment), although I think even those who have played or run these adventures before will find something new and enjoyable here.
System: 5 Edition Dungeons and Dragons
Who: You! 4-6 persons total.
What: A campaign the group selects – Path of the Red Horse, Mists of Ravenloft, or The Five-Pointed Star.
When: Tuesdays 4pm-8pm est. Session 0 is the week after the party is gathered.
Where: FoundryVTT and Discord
Price: $15, and $5/hour beyond if a table decides to run longer on a given day. Session 0 is on the house.
Who I am: A Dungeon Master since the 3.5 days of early 2000s, I’ve run D&D off and on for many years, from official Wizards content to my own hombrew material. I’ve always enjoyed the 3.0 adventure path, what I’ve dubbed [The Path of the Red Horse], with its beginnings in the Sunless Citadel, and decided to develop a campaign setting that encompasses each of the various pieces as a cohesive whole, with my own alterations and nonsense to taste. I am excited about the advent of FoundryVTT to the hobby, and since in-person meeting has all but dried up, due to our current state of the world, now seems like the ideal time to pursue what I’ve always felt I should be doing. Being a host and an entertainer is what gives me joy, and my medium is the d20 and our collective imaginations. I am excited to tell a story together with you!
Table Expectations
Hardware: Everyone is expected to have a relatively clear voice-chat functionality for Discord, where we will gather to play. Video is not required, although if a table wants to use video that’s fine with me on a unanimous agreement. Please don’t eat your microphone.
No streaming. I won’t be, I expect you not to, either. This is a reason to remove an offending player.
Cooperation: this is a social gaming experience, treat others with respect, and remember that you all want to enjoy our time together. Sociopaths need not apply.
Conflict Resolution: I have no problem mediating between players. If a conflict can’t be resolved or moved past, then individuals may need to part ways. There is no reason to stay in a group that isn’t functioning well together, and I’d encourage you to find those people you do function well with!
Opening and Closing: I will strive to have everything ready to go approx a half-hour before game start, and there will be a 15 minute window where we can wrap up after the 4-hour mark.
