We have an established Thursdays campaign in which most members are currently about level 5. We have a home brew campaign led by a DM with about 30 years DM experience. He also streams so you must be okay with being apart of a group that streams.
- New Player Friendly.
- Online Only.
- Age 21+
- A Mix of Casual + Serious Roleplay. Full range of combat events + variable encounters. Our campaigns are long and can easily last RL years.
- You can die quiet easily by killing yourself so be okay with death.
- LGBTQ etc etc all the things Friendly.
- High Magic Campaign w/ lots of magical items in the open world.
- Homebrew with 5e character creation and monsters/encounters dated 3.5 and earlier depending on various source material from a deeply rooted homebrew.
We are going to open up about 7 slots for tryouts and such. I usually expect a retention of like 25-33%. I'll do a meet and greet. See if we are in alignment, then you can sync with our DM and create a character. We will be dropping you directly into the campaign. We like new folks just because they don't carry deep-rooted preconceived norms outside of our home brew. We are pretty open but just understand that our DM has final say on all matters. If you want to dispute something you can do so after the session ends etc etc. We won't be running this Thursday because obviously it's Christmas but we can at least get you ramped up, introduced, and involved in character creation etc. We will be playing and having a special event for new years though!
You're welcome to create any characters/classes your hearts desire. You might receive some hard limits or guided attributes from our DM though. We tend to be quiet literal and realist when it comes to races and traits. An example might be: "If you roll a minotaur we will most likely force you to sacrifice some stats and have a base start of 20 STR because it's literally a minotaur."

I am not the DM so it's hard for me to build you a compelling X Y Z.
To give you some context. In one of our recent sessions we went on several quests including dealing with a large monster (can't recall what it was) and then ran into a group of undead. The plot got very complex after I randomly tried to gather up remains from the undead. It turned out to be death spore. After a series of failed saves my colleague attempted to use a wish to save my character. Instead the wish summoned the creator of the world to us. I was initially trying to gather the death spore to poke fun at a ridiculous halfling in our party. Since the spore might have killed him, he took offense and joined with this world creator to be our foe.
Meanwhile, the summoning of this god of gods attracted the world in a sort of major event where massive magical armies led by fierce warriors (much more detailed then this) marched upon our location to do battle with this god we inadvertently summoned. This is just a small example of the high magic /sudden madness that takes place in our surprising and unexpected adventure. This current campaign also has multiple Arcs.
Additionally, our DM is working on a Low Magic campaign now but the release date/session time of when we start that is TBD.
Hey I would love to join but I see that its closed for now. If yall are ever looking for more player at any point I would be more than happy to tryout!

Any chance you can drop a little info on what the campaign itself is like, story elements, where it takes places etc.
It's streamed casually for fun on this channel:
