Work has been slow in the outskirts, the usual contracts and job listings for "pest control" have dwindled due to military outposts elsewhere. The odd job to retrieve a relic or family heirloom from some long forgotten keep in a valley far away, have trickled into nothing more than the occasional memory in the bottom of a tankard. Most adventures these days simply consist of those lucky enough to be conscripted by a passing merchant - if the coin is right - for extra protection on the road to the next town. I've seen my fair share of town hopping, but the itch to find solid work has been growing heavier as the purse has grown lighter.
You may find yourself in need of the burly Minotaur that is tending to the edge of his Greataxe in the nearby square. He traveled a long ways here, stands out for more reasons than his horns, that's for sure. He is dressed in the hides of beast from the frozen tundras beyond the forests edge. A strong, capable warrior; familiar with the ways of the battlefield.
Or maybe the Fire Genasi that has been helping tend the forge for compensation of their innate talents, strikes your fancy. They have been seen tending to the wounded villagers for minor abrasions and workplace injuries. He means well, but much like the forge, he tends to burn hot when given too much attention.
There was rumor of a monk nearby, human I think. Not much information on them though... last I heard they were staying out on the edge of the town closer to the forest. Something about being closer to nature and peace of mind. A bit addled maybe, only comes into town for some of the "finer" things we offer here.
With that, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Timothy and I am a 28 year old male looking to find a D&D party to call my own. Whether filling a void that was left in the wake of a player leaving due to circumstances, or a new adventure being formed, I am looking to find myself in the ranks of a good group of people with like interests. I am available mainly during the middle of the week (Tues - Thurs) and Mountain Standard is my timezone. A few things to note of me and my play style/group dynamic, I am comfortable with filling roles that the group may need (so the above character ideas are more than willing to change to fit campaign needs.) I will say in advance that I tend to lean more of a 60/40 split for combat and roleplaying, but that is flexible. You wont catch me speaking to merchants for 3 hour shopping sessions though, that grinds my nerves.
It'd be nice to get something going again soon, via R20 or if absolutely needed I can grab Fantasy Grounds. I have a couple supplemental materials on R20, but may pick up more here on DnDBeyond if needed. If there are any openings in your campaign, I would love to be considered for them. Got a lot of creativity and intuitive play in this mind of mine. Hope to find a group soon. Discord is Grim_Motive#0428 for those that may want to reach out via that source.
